HUNGARORING - BUDAPEST - HUNGARY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 10/17

Was also surprised to see just how far back Brawn are now in relation to the rest of the pack. I think its safe to say that they dont have anything like the best car in F1 anymore.

I wouldn't say that.Button had what 1run on a heavy fuel load and a setup he wasn't happy with.
Certainly not the best car but probably still the best of the rest.

Yeah, Brawn are still up there for sure, only the Red Bulls really have them pipped for raw pace I think. Between them and the other front runners it's incredibly close.

people lose wheelnuts and stuff all the time and they never get punished for it

Some teams keep a car out with a large chunk of exhaust hanging off the car by only a sensor wire...

The stewards were not interested either. Should have been at least been shown the meatball.

It seems that Alonso is extrordinarilly light.

Shock horror. Predicted pitting on lap 13.
Next up to pit is Hamilton and Raikkonen on lap 19

Webber and Vettel are laps 20 and 21 respectively.

It appears that Renault have gone for glory.

Nope why would they. Nothing brawn could have done.

Don't get me wrong, i wasn't saying that they should, i was just wondering if anything would be done, if maybe even the FIA would inspect the car a bit more rigorously when it is in Parc Ferme, or will they be happy with Brawn's assessment?

I imagine if the rear suspension has had no changes then it will be ok, but i think if they brought a new rear suspension package with them, it may get some scrutiny?

And Button?

Hmm, if Button can keep pace he looks good for a 5th place, Vettel looks likely to win, Hamilton stands a very good chance of getting on the podium. I think Lewis would have to get a very good start and lead from the front in order to get a good chance of 1st or 2nd.

Shame I'm gonna miss the F1 tommorow. I'm off the Moto GP. Does ol' Bernie allow BBC to put F1 on the iPlayer?

Nah can't see Alonso doing anything tbh, that is far to early a stop, hes going to come back out in loads of traffic.

Button could be in a good position if Hamilton jumps the redbulls at the start.

^
Yeah, the worst thing for Jenson would be to get stuck behind a KERS loaded Car like Lewis and Hekki (provided the Brawn can keep up - I'm not too sure on the Brawn pace ATM)

Button better hope his car is kind to his tyres so he has a chance to push once everyone pits.

I'm sure the Red Bull team are going to be having nightmares about KERS cars tonight. If Hamilton gets a start like last time it'll take more than Webber weaving to stop him. Maybe Red Bull will sharpen their front wing end plates to make sure ;)

I just hope it's going to be an interesting race instead of the usual procession at the Hungaroring. At least the field seems to be closer this weekend.

P

ps good news about Massa. Fingers crossed there is no lasting damage there. That helmet did it's job.
