HUNGARORING - BUDAPEST - HUNGARY Grand Prix 2009 - Race 10/17

It will be interesting to see how well Badoer does - and how Kimi reacts

Kimi could easily obliterate him now with what looks like a much better Farrari than at the beginning of the season and get decent results, or he could just as easily go for Sunday afternoon drives and still slaughter Badoer while not getting the most out of the car and not such great results

Cant see Badoer beating Kimi regularly though (as Massa was capable of doing this year)

Im guessing Badoer is eligible to collect Constructor and Driver points?

No-one appears to have started moaning about the fact that Badoer will be getting in the F60 this week - for 2 days.

It's promotional work - but will also be useful in getting him used to the F60's systems

Although it will be on specially provided tyres that are completely useless for any testing. Same ones they use for demonstration runs etc...

Its all within the rules. So its ok!

Isn't Badoer the test driver anyway or will it be the first time he is in the F60?

It should at least give Badoer a chance to familiarise himself with the cockpit of the car. He did not drive it prior to the onset of the in-season testing ban, and if he has conducted any of Ferrari’s allocated aerodynamic test days since then it seems to have gone unrecorded.

Pinnacle of motorsport (say it with your voice dripping with sarcasm), and the poor buggers can't even test properly....it's ******* ridiculous.

It can't be just me that feels this way surely.

Nope. Test/reserve drivers feel the same. As well as several teams. I'd like to see restricted amounts of testing back, but only at circuits that are not on the calender. Say something like 15 days between 1st race and the end of the year.
