Hurricane - Irma

Something I have picked up this week is the UK and Euro tracking is proving correct and the American isn't, this happens quite frequent, how so?

It can't be lack of experience….they must use the same set of data since there is only 1 hurricane they are tracking, so someone's formula isn't quite right so….I guess the only logical conclusion is that the Americans are less smart, not as clever…or just unlucky?

Where do CNN get there info from? One of their headlines on the news yesterday was "Nuclear Hurricane"

WTF?

They make it up like most of the "news" they report, they not called the very fake news for nothing.

I think you've mistaken CNN wth Breitbart.

Clearly they are comparing the power of the hurricane to a nuclear disaster. I am sure you both can read between the lines. The hurricane has been OFFICIALLY recorded as the strongest in HISTORY. Is it that much of a stretch to call it that?

When Trump claims he has the biggest crowd in his inauguration, now that is fake news.

No, it was CNN's news channel

Here's a Mayor on CNN calling it a "Nuclear Hurricane"

Comparing it to a nuclear disaster is laughable, ask them what would they prefer, Nuke or a hurricane?

Idiot's and so is anyone that believes or compares it to a nuke.

Idiot's.

Then blame the mayor, why are you blaming CNN? So you are spreading fake news yourself when it was the Mayor who coined the phrase and not CNN?

And why are you on about CNN and pedantic about a label when there are potentially thousands of lives at stake here? Have you got something against CNN?

WTF are you banging on about? Arazi's right, calling this a "nuclear hurricane" is just stupid and blatant sensationalism. CNN could've left the nuclear bit out but clearly thought it'd be good for ratings so went with it. As for being pedantic, why not? Lives, no lives, doesn't matter, crap journalism is crap journalism. Completely isolated from what the victims of this hurricane are going through.

Ray, you bore me.

lawl, great comeback

But I guess it's the best you could do once proven wrong and made to look a bit of a plonker!!

Keep up fella, CNN never called it 'Nuclear hurricane' a Mayor did and CNN simply reported this FACT.

Ohhh and btw CNN have won many journalism awards including the highly regarded Peabody Award ;-)

Exactly, idiots.

They did not retract it nor did they even correct it, sensationalism.

Oh it is Mr Sensationalism himself!
I stand by what i said, ask people in the area what they prefer, a nuke or a hurricane?

You both need seem to be more concerned about CNN than people's lives at stake.

Seriously, you got something against CNN?

CNN doesn't need to retract anything, CNN didn't say it, the Mayor did. It would be like CNN reporting Trump claiming he had the biggest crowd. It would be TRUMP who needs to retract it, not CNN.

Are you deliberately glossing over this or are you genuinely that thick that you couldn't suss out what it meant?

As for this:

I mentioned one case of sensationalist journalism. One. Not two, not three, not a hundred. I didn't accuse the broadcaster of being a sensationalist broadcaster, I didn't say they were crap, I didn't even allude to any of this, I merely pointed out one case of sensationalist reporting. So please, do explain to me why you're bringing their awards in to this?

You seem to be pretty intent on looking for an argument here, why? You not get laid last night?

What are you dribbling about ??

You said 'crap journalism' implying CNN are rubbish journalists so I thought it was rather relevant to remind/inform you that they have won MULTIPLE Peabody awards (Regarded in journalism as basically the BEST award in the US )

In a live interview on CNN a Mayor called the hurricane a 'nuclear hurricane' and CNN broadcast-ed this and placed some text on the screen confirming what he said.
Your blind hatred towards CNN speaks volumes ;-)

No, I don't have anything against CNN at all, in fact I regard them as one of the better newscasters, that doesn't mean I have to stop questioning them because there's a hurricane on the go, does it?

If you're going to try and have an intelligent discussion here, then answer the questions I asked you. If you don't want to, that's fine, but count me out of your little sucking off session about CNN.

And on that note, here's another question:

How do you come to the conclusion that I have a "blind hatred" for CNN?

Start off with the one from my previous post and then answer this one. I'm genuinely curious as to why you think I have something against CNN and how you come to that conclusion based on me questioning one line of text?

Give up with them, you won't win, no matter how much common sense you post :)
