Hyundai W241D-PVA

I can see the noise, but that doesn't mean anything. What type of camera did you use? If its a digital compact then pixels are going to show up on a higher res monitor, especially after they've been enhanced with photoshop.

yeah exactly as they guy above said, i see the noise too but thats not because of the screen in that it's not broken or anything, as almichev said your going to see each and every pixel on such a huge screen unlike with a crt and also i'm assuming the crt is old? in that case i would also assume things like black representation is also much worse on the crt so isn't as accurate compared to that on the tft.

Hyundai make the best TFT monitors/TV's imho.
The Imagequest 321 was the dogs nuttz in it's day, so much so that Marantze re-badged it and robbed people of £1.5k  for the pleasure of having their logo on the plastic :p
I have also just got my old man a Hyundai Imagequest E320D as his old telly was on it's last legs (CRT jobby), and all I can say is WoW!! For a £312 32" screen it's is extremely good and much better than a £400+ LG TFT we have just had delivered to work.
I will certainly be on the look out for one of these 24" S-PVA screens when the price drops a little :D:D

Just got mine a few hours ago there.

Absolutely spectacular.

No dead pixels, no ghosting, games look great but the real test for me was blu-ray movies and I have to say... unbelievable!

The size of the thing made my jaw drop when I opened the box .. absolutely massive compared to my old 19". Didn't think it would be so noticable!

Don't know what else to say other than I'm happy as hell :D

If you have any questions about it fire away.

Nish (or anyone else), do you have any consoles, such as a Nintendo Wii that you could set up and take a picture of?

I really want to see how a Wii looks on this monitor before i decide if its worth getting the component connections...as opposed for getting something like a samsung 245b, purely for PC use :)

Yeah I have a wii and ps3. Will take a few pics when I have everything sorted here.

when i had mine i connected the wii up using the red white and yellow cables and although picture and sound did appear it was black and white and rather fuzzy (though this could be due to the bad ghosting last one had). have you connected the wii yet and does your do the same or had i perhpas had it set up wrong?

thanks

black and white and fuzzy does not sounds good :S - i would like to see pics of a Wii working on one..if i saw that would buy one right away :D also - how would i use external speakers in this setup? i dont think the monitor has an audio-out? and i dont think you can use the PC speakers in this way?

well in all honesty the connection i was using was the composite cable that comes with the wii putting it into the component connection at the abck of the monitor so wasn't exactly expecting the best it's just the guy above seems to say it works with the wii.

it does have audio out, i tried it and it worked. took me a while to find it though as it's in the corner and black so camoflauges into the case.

Overclockers out of stock on the PVAs now :( well at least i hope that means lots of reviews! tbh despite all the dead pixel problems, a working one looks awesome re: the posts at the start of this thread

Got mine 2day, no dead/stuck pixels (im very lucky with pixels, never had any stuck/dead ones), little backlight bleed (which will go in time)

havn't checked for ghosting yet, will do 2night.

mint monitor :D

Oh and i have the PVA non usb port one.

Hows the viewing angle on one of these badboys? Are they similar to the OCUK value edition one?
And how does it compare generally to the OCUK value edition monitor (in terms of onscreen quality)?

anyone know when ocuk restock? i figured it would be today but still no more of this item in stock. may end up cancelling my order and ordering the 240d instead however as i saved on free delivery last time the difference isn't going to be that much but atleast i guess i will have the monitor sooner. hmmmm decisions decisions

I've been using my W240D-PVA for about 4 days now and the first 3 days were fine but today I wake up and there is backlight bleeding in all 4 corners. After about an hour, the bleeding in the bottom 2 corners fade away but it's still present in the top 2 corners. Should I be concerned? I thought you get bleeding when the monitor is brand new and giving it a few days of use clears the problem? In my case, it was fine from start up for 3 days until now.

The only thing I've changed is my graphics card (8500GT to a 8800GTS) but that shouldn't matter as when I change modes from DVI to VGA on the monitor and it can no longer read a signal from my PC, it displays a blank black screen and the corner bleeding is still present there.

The only problem i have is that my dvi port has now stopped working, even tho yesterday it worked fine, i select input source as DVI and the screen goes black then the backlight turns off like its in standby and is not recieving a source. Ive plugged in my ps3 via hdmi to dvi adapter, and my pc via dvi into it and i get no piccy, but all the other ports work fine.

I've searched google and i cant find anyone else who has this problem, so im guessing it is a manufacturing fault with my screen, will have to send it back for repair, i dont wanna send it back for a replacement because i may get a screen with dead/stuck pixels which i would have to send back yet again. :| O well.
