I has Sandybridge - Excellent service OCUK

thanks dave_beast. Do you have any SuperPI also? {Comparison}. (1M & 32M)

Thanks :)

Done @ 4.2ghz 42 multi 1.21v

Whenever I go above 45 multi I get BSOD, setting voltage to 1.35v, CPU PLL to 1.9v but won't let me do a thing. I can get into BIOS at 5ghz, but anything above 4.5ghz when trying to get into Windows = bsod. Obviously, there is nothing on the net about oc'ing these boards :o

The chip will probably max out at around 4.6. I looked at the overclocked systems Overclockers were selling ( before they took them off the site ) yesterday. They were doing 4.6. You will see in a few days when they are advertising them again.

I don't think it won't go further than 4.6Ghz for i7 2600K (The hardest will be after 4.6Ghz+) just like i7 920 4.2Ghz+

Nice one dave beast, but I won't buy sandy bridge because my current i7 920 4.4Ghz is more powerful than the i7 2600K because of 220Mhz bus speed.

Last benchmark of the day ;)

4.2ghz at 42 multi and 110 ring bus oc 1.21v ram now 1600mhz instead of 1333mhz as earlier runs

Has broken 10k for the physics which is good enough for me (so far!)

and XFX Black Edition at 1050/1250/1.250v

It does not look like you got a golden chip then as 1.35v should be enough to hit 4.8ghz with one of them.... if you want to reach 4.8ghz you are going to have to try 1.45v (if you have not done so already)

EDIT: Its not going to hurt to see if it boots into windows without BSOD, the CPU will not be fully loaded so the temps will not go that high.

Hey,

Lucky so and so with your hardware, but I expected more from the benchmarks given the cost of the hardware involved. My i5 and 5850 only fall <400 3dmarks behind your setup and in some cases beat certain scores respectably for the price difference.

Have you tried any higher clock speeds?
