Whilst wanting to convince developers that this is an important issue and show them that the community in general feels disappointed that they have not considered it and, in the case of Rockstar, even ignored contact regarding the matter, is a good thing your approach is inappropriate and counter-productive. Sending such emails will only hinder progress and generally is not a good way of working towards solutions.

pls put custom button mapping in all games, you can't ignore gareth garratt that has cerebral palsy, and is a hardcore gaming, pls help all disabled gamers, you can find his interview with pcgamer here http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/02/11/interview-dead-space-2-disability-campaigner-gareth-garratt/ so if you ppl have a heart, then pls do something about this, ea is already patching there games for this awesome person, just watch this video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVwGFkrxtPE&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

Quoted for truth. Does anyone actually know what Rockstar are discussing behind the scenes, anyway?

wow nice, you used text speak for 'please' and 'people', used the wrong 'their', used a sentence that makes no sense - 'and is a hardcore gaming'?, and topped it off with a big puppy dog 'if you ppl have a heart'. Just...wow, that's surely going to get them taking notice.

I recommend you stop sending emails to anyone, immediately.

Hi EmBola, people are all frustrated exactly the same as you regarding this issue, but as its already been said, sending what is basically abusive messages to developers is not the way to go about things, these things need to be handled diplomaticaly and encourage developers to engage with the disabled gamers and work with them.

With regards to setting up a charity, there already seems to be one in the UK - www.specialeffect.org.uk which a member here going by the name of Booner has had dealings with in the past and has put this case regarding Gareth to them, so I think thats an ideal charity to support. We don't have to be limited to just one, a proceeds page could be set up and then split amongst 2 or more charities.

On that note, have you been in touch with Special Effect yet Gareth?

Hi guys,

just read the PC Gamer article. Great stuff indeed!

Btw., not only is Gareth a great trooper, his mother and certainly the rest of his family are ones as well. Kudos, Mrs. Garratt, for spending Gareth all the care he needs
and all the love he so much deserves every day!

Cheers!

Vadassy

P.S. If you're really making some sort of fund-raising or charity, count me in! :)

I know you mean well, but you need to leave this matter to people who can put the message across properly.

Just noticed the picture in the PC Gamer article, showing your computer. What case is that? Looks nifty. :)

Also, if you don't mind me asking, who helps you out when you put a new computer together?

His mother and gf from memory. I am sure I have sold Gareth something in the past he said his gf fits it for him (under strict instruction of course!)

I am sure Gather will correct me if I am wrong.

I can't beleive where this has gone now, hopefully all the game developers will take notice.
