i just got dead space 2 but i'm so disappointed

Gareth, you are a legend! Reading the first few pages and being unaware of your situation, I was skeptical like most and I just got told!!

Echoing what others have said, really inspiring stuff. Hopefully suggestions posted here have helped your situation. Impressive to see vids of you and others playing, especially the guy who essentially got his own mark on CoD series by having custom aim toggle built in. That guy actually kicked a fair bit of ass too!

I saw a video a long while back of a guy who was paralysed from the neck down in an accident, iirc, and he was able to play CS:S on the PC using a custom built stick which he moved with his mouth to control aim and he sucked and blew it at the same time to fire, reload, etc. A lot of it was also voice automated like "Duck, jump, etc".

I was going to ask if you had thought about voice recognition as that would have seemed an alternative but as you have said above that probably isn't something that would help at all. Doesn't look like you need it anyway :D

Keep up the good work fella, awesome stuff!

You are a legend. That is really quite inspiring. I really can't help in anyway with what you require im afraid but just wanted to say you are awesome.

Chuck Norris has nothing on you! :D

Legend, Inspiration, Awesome, your vid oozed it.

Sorry I cant help you situation. Just needed/wanted to tell you how awesome you are.

Nuff respect burv.

As said all ready you sir is inspiring and I hope you find what you need.

Very impressed.

EDIT

To add to what was said yes a Wii mote can be used for tracking.

You use it like a web cam as such I have one set up for ARMA2.
You need to set up an LED array that says sits on a baseball cap on your head it can be used to control a mouse curser to.

Works very well.

So do you have function of your feet? as you could put the LED array on your foot and use that to move the curser or for look then use the mouse for other functions?.

Certainly not the thread content I expected when I read the title. I don't know of anything to suggest that would help you out, but I'm amazed by your video and hope you find a solution!

Not read whole topic so forgive me if someone has said this but all you need to do is set the mouse button as a key-stroke or macro then for example "k" button can be on your mouse.

Your chin has some skillz, I guess to you its how you play but to other people its pretty amazing stuff to behold, i for one is one of them people :)

Someone needs to upload this to reddit or something to show the world how amazing and inspiring this guy is.

...it makes me so mad that game companys don't make they games fully custom controls....

if they can have the fire assigned to a mouse button, surely they could have assigned to a mouse button...

Totally agree ! and also for the hard of hearing/deaf - of which I'm sure there are a few on here - how hard can it be to add subtitles to a game with dialogue, even a small amount. I'm sure there are speech to text converters out there which could do the job for the developers, leaving them to clean up the inevitable mistakes the program would make.

I must say I'm not hard of hearing or deaf but I do think about these things when playing games. I just think we should have some standard developers should stick to when it comes to games, it's only software so it can be done quite easily.
