I hope everyone can understand the rules now by 10%. :) :p

The rules are simple now, before you mention any etailer, go to their website and see if it strikes you as a PC hardware seller.

If it doesn't, it probably is OK to note that they are doing a good deal on a specific deal.

Both the Forum members and OcUK staff will appreciate it. :)

No problem with Amazon whatsoever since they'll only recommend you books and games anyway ;)

Curry's I'm confused with, they don't focus on computers, and them having links to PC World is not much different to Steams links to Dell/Alienware with the links.

That's why I thought it was an interesting point, however a lot of Currys and PC World stores are now "Currys PC World" so the same thing now.

PC World as it's own entity, no ambiguity, clear no-no, curry's though? They're mainly appliances aren't they?
They sell lots of laptops.

That said, is it their focus? The reason Amazon are allowed, from my understanding, is their focus doesn't compete with OCUK's focus/core sales.

its about the same as it ever was people know what you should and shouldnt hint at little bit of nothing blew out of proportion .

common sense that is all thats needed.

look at whats resulted people are just knit picking now at anything now its boring just get on with it already

Its simple, if you are talking about washing machines, its ok to mention Curry's, if about laptops, don't. Don't mention the purple shirted ones at all though, even if you are talking about TV's or whatever else they sell.

Gibbo's already said the rule covers no talk of DSG, which covers Currys, Dixons and PC World though.

You've just said what I've said..... But Curry's are now essentially merged with PC World.
Gibbo extended it to the whole of DSGi.

So i can't mention some other store sells the games you currently have for less? So like, BF:3 is £29.99 at OcUK, but somewhere else is selling it for £25?

Were fully aware were not competitive on games, its not a focus area for us as we simply can't compete, so its fine to say such a game is available from say game for less, if its considerably cheaper etc, say more than £5 less.
