I5 2500k - Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Overclocking

Mine is at 6 any lower and it blue screens. So far on this replacement board I have not had any issues at all. Running 4.5ghz at the moment and it's Rock solid..

Isn't there a chance this is ram related? Are there any running themes with rebooting and certain brands? Seemed earlier in the thread there was an issue with kingston then people switched to vengeance and seemed to be sorted?

Thanks very much for this thread. Work like a charm. Using slightly notched down settings when it comes to voltage for a 4.30GHZ O.C

Going to do a burn test in the next few days and will report back if all goes well with the settings for people who don't perhaps want 4.50GHZ

Thanks again Neil ;)

That was so so much better than the previous bios flashing, No complaints... No cold boots, set it all up and straight into windows :D

I asked support what the cause was and I got this

Hi,

Update new ME firmware which fixed cold boot issue.

Which was in the F7e which I already updated too and love :D:D:D, what's ME btw?, could they be talking memory

"The core hardware architecture of Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT) is resident in firmware. The micro-controller within the chipset's graphics and memory controller (MCH) hub houses the Management Engine (ME) firmware, which implements various services on behalf of management applications. Additionally, flash memory houses system BIOS, code used by the management engine, and a third-party data store (3PDS) that enables applications to store information as needed in non-volatile memory."

Hmm so even though the PLL overvoltage on Disabled cured it for me, it's now on enabled :D :D, they think it was memory related because of a bad firmware or old out of date. No wonder people had trouble even when swapped to other brands!
