I5 2500k - Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Overclocking

Why did you decrease DRam voltage? :p

I wonder is it only crashing out using chrome? and also you could always try uninstalling Flash, then trying firefox and flash again... Just trying something else really :/

Just Incase I had it too high. Just changing to see what it might be but seeing as it runs perfect under load I doubt it's the OC settings, will have abit more of a fiddle.

One thing, do you reckon it could have been my BIOS update. Only a few days before was when I updated to F7, now going back down to F6 for a few days to test

your better of using normal cpu voltage and adding extra through dvid, that way it will raise idle cpu voltage slightly depending how much you use

The problem with that is and it's why I use LLC the UD3P it can suffer from nasty vdroop issues as you cannot use LLC and dvid/offset at the same time.

He might be ok but I know on a number of gigabyte boards i've tested you can have a vdroop from 1.40 dropping to 1.32 under load

Got an issue with the spec in my sig. Overclocked to 3.8 but now it takes about 4 attempts to turn on. I press the power button and the fans will whir etc but then it just clicks off. Eventually it will turn on but this problem is annoying me. Any ideas what settings cause this?

I have the same issue and I am using the latest bios 7F the problem only started after i had flashed the new bios.

I have had 2 different sets of ram and it was the same with both sets, the ram was changed because i went from 8gb to 16gb and i counnt get the ripjaws under the cooler.

How are you guys flashing your bios?, I previously used the @BIOS utility but after being advised not to use it and how it could mess with my system I flash via USB and Haven't had any problems since

My computer cold booted THREE times this evening after what two months of no problems!

**** bios developers :(

I remember the days the cold boots were my biggest problem. Bloody bluescreen is doing my head in. 2 days without it happening to hopefully it's cured *touch wood*

:( about the cold boots thou. I thought for sure you had fixed it after reading through this whole thread a while back :/

Finally fixed my BSOD problem. Had to disable C3/C6 states. Left the other power options enabled and it works perfectly and because the other options are still enabled I'm not running full voltage all the time which is what I wanted
