Also Neil when you had your cold boot issues previously when the system would shut off while booting then start fine after did you get a message about overclocking settings when it happend. I get this problem but am yet to try the new bios (F7)/also the PLL overcoltage fix
Thanks
I did with the previous beta yes but not with F7E, however if I do get any cold boots I just pull the psu cable out when it shuts off then put it back in. I've only had one or two cold boots in over a month which is fine with me
It was down to a firmware issue on the chipset, thus because the computer shut itself off it detects that it was an overclock problem which it wasn't, you could get it at default settings too . However even if you update to F7 the new bios you still may get a cold boot at some point. But what ever you do don't let it restart on it's own straight away just pull that psu cable out and put it back in then let it boot.
Oh and back up the other bios too when it's all started up correctly after flashing!

I have only just built my new rig, i am on bios F2 if its stable at stock should i update before starting to overclock
Would probably be best as when updating the BIOS 1. You can loose the overclock settings and 2. If they have changed something you might get different results with settings that once worked perfect on a previous version
Ok cheers.
Is it best to use qflash
Could someone link me to 7E i cant find it on the Gigabyte website
I did see that but i couldnt work out if it was 7E or F
Odd that it raises that much Chabsy, your best bet would be to drop the LLC level from 6 to 5 or even 4
