i7 3770k batches.

idk why the dram won't lower,it should do

cputin shouldn't be that high? maybe software or sensor bug?

tried with lower offset? +0.010 or +0.005v, you can switch to a negative -0.05v maybe to take off/undervolt the cpu

ill post a screenshot of mine when im on it,on my sandy pc atm,see what the cputin temps are

Cputin has always been 127c.

The Cpu voltage has dropped from 1.34v to about 1.32v max when testing.
Can you explain what the +/- offset actually do, as I`m a little confused.:D

each cpu has a default stock voltage set by intel,it varies from chip to chip

some have high some have low ect

offset will apply what you set in it to the stock voltage of the chip at load with a + or take off/undervolt with a -

then there's each loadline calibration setting which adds its own amount ontop of the offset and default voltage of the cpu

so you have to find the right balance of llc and offset while remaining stable

aslong as you add small amounts and stress the cpu each time to see where you are regarding load voltage you'll be fine, then its a matter of reducing the offset/llc levels to get as low a stable voltage as possible

if its always been at 127c then I wouldn't worry too much

the reason to use offset is to allow cpu to downclock at idle, with a fixed cpu voltage it wont downclock in volts/speed,and if you use auto voltage its deffinatly gonna use way too much and overvolt so offset is more accurate if setup right

So I need to set Core Voltage to manual(not auto) and use offset.

Just been running P95 for 15 minutes. Vcore 1.31v and now it is running idle Cpuz shows no more than 0.904v. That is with [email protected] with 0.2v, with voltage control on offset +.

not sure on asus, but its working if its using less than 1v at idle

first two digits should be 0 so +0.0

you shouldn't have to set any manual voltage all you should set is offset

EDIT: that's right set to manual and just enter the offset amount

Just realised I have the LLC set to extreme, do I need to lower that, as you mentioned setting it to high in an earlier post.

I was going to get some bios screen shots, save to a flash drive, but it keeps telling me to insert a drive, even though I can see it in the bios.

OK, lowered LLC to high.
Phase Control is Optimised.
Dram Volts set to 1.5v although bios shows 1.512v.
Offset mode [email protected]. If I raise it any more the figures go yellow, so I think I`m at the limit.
Vcore is 0.94v in Cpuz but 1.120v in the bios. But is roughly 1.29v when stressing.
Going for 4.6Ghz and see how it goes.

don't worry about the yellow in offset,it's because of the lower llc you need more offset

looking better now, don't forget to try some games too as they will crash to desktop if cpu v is too low

even if it's prime/ibt stable

it will show 1.120v in the bios because speedstep/power saving only kicks in in windows

Just had it running at 4.6Ghz same settings and the voltages are slightly lower in HWmonitor.
So, going to have a go on Crysis 3, see if it holds up.

Voltage looks pretty decent, ive had to give mine a bump to 1.340 in bios as it threw up a few errors in games the other day. In game it's hitting 61-62-58-59, vcore showing at 1.306v on my keyboards lcd display.

Just had about an hour on Crysis 3 @4.6Ghz, temps never went above 41c on any of the cores.

its a good chip if you can do 4.6ghz with below 1.3v

idk what temps are like but below 80 or 80-85c is acceptable imo

These are my temps, although I`m not sure which are the most accurate.
I get a pop up warning9from the Asus Suite) telling me my Cpu temp is 72 or 73c, so I`m assuming HWmonitor is more accurate. Still, I`m happy with the results so far.

yh asus suite isn't or wasn't that accurate on my z68

I always use realtemp as it monitors my gpu aswell

temps and volts are fine,so plenty headroom for a 4.7ghz attempt but me id be more than happy with 4.5/4.6ghz

Just tried 4.7 and I can`t get into Windows using the offset mode. Seems the only way is via Manual and Auto. Voltages when using Blend in P95 were 3.8-9v and temps touching the 80s. So that`s 0.1v more for another 100Mhz, hardly seems worth it.
Or do I need to change some of the other settings?
