Id dead bird

I have some videos of it that i need to cut down and upload, and some more pics. Might start a new thread when i've done that?

This is the last one before he was put in his travel box and taken to the centre:

It seemed to have grown a fair amount of feathers from when we first picked it up to when we dropped it off, in only an 18 hours period. Here's the last photo I took of it when i dropped it off, struggling to stand up on the shiny examination table at the rescue centre and looking slightly kerfuffled from the hour journey, although it's mainly his fresh set of feathers on his head that make him look confused lol:

I miss the little fellas chirping :( he's been given an ID number and I can call in a few days for an update on his progress which is really nice :)

Tom.

Very late update to this, I have just called the sanctuary again. He was succesfully released after a few weeks of home care by one of the volunteers, and was identified as a Dunnock rather than a starling!

Thanks again for the help from the guys in this thread, especially the big cheese :)

Awesome man you did a bloody good thing :)

I opened this thread saw the first page and thought "aww no not another one :(" then noticed the dates :D

glad to see the little chappy is doing well and off in the wild :)

Don't suppose the sanctuary took any pics of him all grown up? :p

This is the first time I've seen this thread and it's probably the best yet!

Well done rG-tom.

PS the bird looks funny with its fluffy head.
