If the worst came to the worst and things escalated

As said be carful what you want it might be your turn one time because you dont agree with something. But yeah i did have have replies but people only say what they wanted. But yeah get back on topic.

And I would hope that If I was so misguided as to believe something equally as foolish as NATO being somehow responsible for Russian Aggression against Ukraine, I would really like to be called out on it too.

At least then I could re-evaluate my position and possibly reconsider, rather than double-down on the suggestion, or worse try to play "victim" and make it about them rather than what they said - which is what people have been addressing.

Something tells me you wouldn't do that :p

It's a shame we're still struggling to teach you the difference between Hostile Expansion (Russia Invading Ukraine) and a Defensive Coalition that countries join by choice.

It seems we're still having trouble getting you to understand that, when you ask such basic (and repeatedly addressed) questions such as "Does anyone think NATO / US is to blame for Russia becoming aggressive?" (Paraphrasing)
You don't seem to get it, the North Atlantic treaty was made in the 90s to stop NATO and the US encroachment and Russia would do the same NATO and the US both broke the agreement so Russia is in fact defending itself from a foreign power, Ukraine is screwed because 1 they're in the middle of it and 2 they have that corrupt joker as leader who is against peace because he knows he has the might of the west behind him.

Why the UK are involved I just don't know, we're not in the EU anymore so we could have spent our money on the many problems we have here at home and we could have sold all those weapons we sent to Ukraine to the Saudis and made more money...

Nice, another one off the list of copy pasta reasons people use to justify Russia's invasion.

Its hilarious its taken you this long to regurgitate it all these talking points. Usually people do it in one go/post. Somehow you have managed to drag it out multiple pages.

Because leaving the EU does not automatically sever all our obligations to NATO and other things we are involved with.

How and when did US/NATO break the agreement with Russia?

Is the idea is to destroy Ukraine to remove the corrupt leader?

So whatever NATO says we have to go along with even if it is a danger to our own people?

No but we have many different treaties and obligations we are apart of that didn't just END because we did BREXIT.

ECHR for example is a key one, there are many. We are one of the key members of Nato since its founding, leaving the EU didn't include leaving NATO.

Members states are forced to do anything, just look at Hungary/Austria etc they are not sending lethal aid.

Do you object to the UK getting involved in the invasion of Poland circa 80 years ago as well?

it normally settles to the ground quite quickly, if the windows are fine I'd just filter the air coming into the building.

And when it runs off into rivers and, streams? Or when radioactive debris and particles settle into groundwater aquafers contaminating the water supply of entire counties, how do you think you'll cope then?

You don't even have the room to store enough water or food to out-last the dangerous isotopes that would be making their way into everything from the local flora and fauna, to the groundwater and soil.

It's almost like the people yelling troll are the actual trolls stopping any sort of viewpoint different from their own, I think there is a word for that....

You come into the thread asking a question that is so basic and has been covered so many times in the discussion already that most people can only assume you're trolling at that point and when it's pointed out to you, somehow we're the ones who are trolling?

You should work in a Cinema with that much projection.:cry:

And yet I'll be proved right.

And yet I'll be proved right.

You'll be provided right about what exactly?

That Russia are "defending themselves from a foreign power" (Your words)

Explain how they are "defending themselves" by invading an Indepedent Neighboring Country.

Explain how they are "defending themselves" by hitting Hospitals, Malls and Apartment blocks with Cruise Missiles.

Explain how they are "defending themselves" by hitting Civilian Infrastructure such as Power Plants and Dams.

Explain how they are "defending themselves" when at every step since they took Crimea in 2014 Russia has been and still are the aggressor here.

The UK are involved because helping a Sovereign Independent Nation defend themselves from an unprovoked attack and invasion by a Hostile Force is simply the right thing to do. It's not always about the money...
