I'm getting fat :(

Currently I have lost 2 stone in about 3 months. I thought I ate pretty well until I started looking at the calorie content in things, and realised how much I ate just for the sake of eating. So my advice is to watch what you eat and make sure that you really are hungry before you start snacking! Also if you do need to snack, make sure it isn't crisps or choccy, I now have grapes or celery, or Space Raiders as a special treat (68 cals per bag!!)

Also, once you start eating differently you will notice a change in other things too. My fitness has improved (obviously) and, maybe not important to you, but my hair and nails have grown stronger and better!

I can't exercise a lot as I have back problems but I try and walk as often as I can, even if it is just round the local field. I can even jog to the post box and back now, a few months ago I was out of breath walking up a hill!

Some more advice is to vary your diet, otherwise you will just get bored and go back into your old ways. And don't deny yourself everything. I used to get in a tearful mess in the early days cos I really *needed* pizza, so if I start craving somethig, I will have it, but then maybe go for a walk or eat less the next day.

So yeah, thats how I got from being a 13.5st heifer to an 11.5st fat bird, and still losing weight to become pretty :D

Well before uni I was 5'10 and weighed about 10 stone 5lb and had 11% body fat, after my first year I now weigh 11 stone 7lb and have a body fat % of 14.

BMI doesn't take into account your muscular build.

No you are horribly skinny. Get on the weights and eat!

i aint that skinny:confused:

I started drinking Coors Light thinking it would help keep the beer belly off. I was conned, apparently the word light doesn't mean what I thought it did in this case. How many fools like me are buying this drink with the same thought I had:(

I am 5'10" and a few weeks ago touched 14 stone too, I didnt like the ever expeanding belly so I did something about it, all i cut out was chocolate bar snacks and all the fizzy pop I had (3 litres on an average day), i now dont eat chocolate at all and have cut down to about 1 lirtre of pop per week, I have also started to play football with friends down the park twice a week and so far im 5lb lighter than I was a fortnight ago and the belly is really going fast, I will soon be starting on weights again hopefully re-joining the gym after my holidays!

So to OP, no its far from impossible, just a few changed to lifestyle and diet can make all the difference. It has with me.

I'm looking to do the same, I'm only 15 but I still am annoyed at my current weight... 12st and 5'10, very little muscle....

Trying to work out a way to exercise properly around school, would like to join up to the gym but most won't let me till I'm 16, although that is only about a month away.

I'm 6'1 and 94kg's. So around 14 stone 10. I guess the last few years I've put on a stone. Although at the moment I go to the gym at least 2 or 3 times a week and play football on sundays. My fitness and especially my physique is pretty good, so I really dont care how much I weigh. As long as I look good. :D
