Cheap soldering iron as I don't want to accidentally break dads expensive one. And some heat shrink.. not looking forward to doing this wiring.

I bought a vintage style canvas and leather backack from Herring Shoes in their sale (Herring are a British company with amazing customer service - highly recommended).

I am extremely impressed with the quality of the bag. It's probably not as practical as a more modern bag as the shoulder straps are buckled rather than having an easy to adjust slider. But the build quality and and quality of the materials was very surprising. I'll be looking to get their holdall in the same style if they ever have it in a sale.

It's a bit of a step-up in price, but I believe the Tusting stuff is all made here, and of locally-made materials, which matters to some.

I'd probably class it as more than "a bit" of a step up.... It is very nice stuff though. One of my friends was given a Tusting holdall by his parents when he passed out from Lympstone.
