Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Where do you go for plants/pots etc? I'm not far away, just outside Lostwithiel. Usually end up going to Lanlivet on the road out of Bodmin which I find good value.

I go to Bodmin nursery ,awesome place ,they have a 3 pots for a tenner section and a £7.50 section ,but i like that they grow most of their stock ,i also use the one in wadebridge but they buy all their stock in ,i tend to go straight to the discount sections tbh just tlc needed

Yup, that'd be the one! Pretty much all my garden pots are from there too. Like you say, the bargain pot sections are great. Is that where your banana plants are from, quite fancying some myself, but worried about our quite windy exposed garden. Need to look into them more.

Damn, crazy to think Doc Martin has been running since 2004. I think the last time I must have seen it was 2009 when the red head practise assistant/secretary/receptionist was there. Martin Clunes was so funny. More so his direct lines.

I honestly didn't know it was still being made today. I thought it had ended a long time ago.
They are filming the final series as we speak. The local paper is going mental about Christmas trees being spotted on set in March. :D

Tempted, did you get hit with import duties? How are they?
I've not got hit with duty yet but unsure if I'll get a follow up bill.

I'm not a massive audiophile, my current go-to headphones are DT990s and the HIFIMAN sound better to my ear. Don't expect to use these around anyone else as they are extremely open and bleed a lot of sound but this seems to give them a pretty wide soundstage. There is a lot of detail and clarity, I am hearing a lot of separation of instruments etc. They also sound more "dynamic" than the DTT990s, all in all I am really enjoying the sound coming from them. The only gripe I have with them really is that they come with quite a short cable and are on the heavier side.

I use mine with a Soundblaster ZXR which has a pretty decent headphone amp and at normal range (32/300 OHM setting) they get about as loud as I would want them to go. I would also say they only really sound their best to me at higher volumes.

You'll probably want to replace the stock cable. HIFIMAN cables are notoriously ****.

As for the amp, planars generally want current, and lots of it.

After buying my 48" OLED tv for my PC last week, I decided that It would be best to upgrade my almost 5 yr old Strix 1080TI OC to get the best out of my tv as I need HDMI2.1 support for 10bit colour in 4K/120hz, and with the next gen apparently due out in September, I didn't want to spend a fortune, so I had to choose between a 3070TI or a 3080, as they seem to be best bang for buck at the moment, I settled for the Gigabyte RTX3080 OC. (Also purchased a new Samsung Galaxy S22ultra 256gb but i'm awaiting delivery of that so no pics yet

Is the 48" going on a desk and will you be using it for work as well as gaming? I wanted the 42 but not paying £1400 for it

Yes it's on my desk, it's not much bigger than my 43" that I had before though, there's a pic a few posts up from last week. I was worried it might have been a little big but being used to 43"for the last few years, it's not a drastic size increase.

Not used for work, but I don't see why it couldn't be.

Never got round to watching it at the cinema. Purchased on iTunes.

I finishing watching this (annoyingly in two parts) yesterday. I really enjoyed it. It is one of the few Marvel films I felt had a really strong story line versus just monsters attacking and super heros winning.

I've heard good things, I'm just struggling to carve out the time to watch it uninterrupted :D
