You won't misplace that.

I have been taking advantage of all the stupid offers over the last month and doing a new build

79503xd was £570
990 pro 2tb was £105
850x 4tb were £284 each
T700 2Tb was £329 :)eek:) but got coh 3 free with it

Also (not pictured) managed to grab a new MSI x670e Ace for £575 and Gskill C30 6000 DDR5 2 x 32Gb for £241.

Got a new TechN cpu block to go along with the new cpu.

New build starts in earnest this week as I have a couple of days off.

Finally I will be able to release the full power of the 4090

Let me know how you get on, I'm in the process of dealing with a garden that's been ravaged by it, building works and moving/levelling areas has spread it all over. I've got Rosate 360 for certain areas but don't want to kill off everything, so may try something selective like SBK Brushwood.

^^^ Needs more storage TBH :D
Well I do still have two free Gen 5 slots but thought I would wait for gen 5 drives to come down in price before getting more :P

These will do for now. offers me 3tb more than my existing setup and currently I have only about 500Gb feee

New fan for my office. It's 1045 and already 28c, so needed something. Very quiet (7 is about half power), and moves a decent amount of air. Now have the smaller version arriving for my bedroom.

Tried some of those a few years ago, but the oscillation was not satisfactory for me. Could hear the gears going very clearly from bed when reaching the turning point, instead of it being a smooth motion.

So I arrived back from Japan yesterday having put an order in for four of my dream cars. Life has been tough so it's about time I got rewarded for my hard work, persistence and perseverance. Large pictures so spoiler tags:

How quiet is very quiet though? Every fan I've tried is always too loud to sleep next to. Does it go down to a very low speed that is almost silent?

For the office fan, using an app on my phone at around a foot away, I measured the following:

12 (highest setting) = 47db
7 (approx middle) = 36db
1 (lowest setting) = 28db

The smaller one hasn't arrived yet, but I imagine it will be much the same. On 7 in my office I can't hear it enough to be bothered about, given all the other noise
