So using the chance to try out something different, Topping MX3s. £219 vs the NAD's current RRP of £699, yet I scratch my head wondering wtf because this little Topping sounds just as good as the NAD, I haven't even tweaked the tone controls yet.

Look at the size difference

The really cool part is the remote can control whatever media is playing on the PC.

What a brilliant little thing.

Not a surprise TBH. The NAD has way more features, which you'd expect for a more TV focused setup. The Topping is very barebones.

Think you'll find that's the other way round, apart from HDMI Arc, the Topping has more features, higher specced bluetooth, full control over the outputs and their levels, tone controls, an actual settings menu to tweak settings further, a remote that actually controls connected device media - On top of that, when you press the power button it doesn't completely disconnect the USB connection leading Windows to think you have no audio device. The NAD also needs the NAD USB driver installed else you have a rogue device manager device that isn't recognised (used for its boot mode FW updating etc).

As for inputs, the Topping has the same range but goes one step further with line RCA inputs which the NAD doesn't have - Not that I have anything analogue any more to use it with lol.

I bought a topping mx3 to replace my faulty audiolab M-one. Fantastic little device :)

Yeah I offered my wife 1 of the possible 25 million colours and genuinely so far none work . Some even look like those UV lights they have in dodgy supermarket toilets to hide the veins lol. Not a priority problem as the Hue ceiling light is on sensor and both temp+brightness aware, so these aren't really required.
The IKEA strips are a nice warm light, installed some a few months back.

I have a smaller Cosori 4.7L had it a few years and still going strong. Stopped using the removable tray inside as it was a pain to clean and just use the bottom of the actual basket as its flat and easy to wipe clean.

Well I was extrolling the virtues of my spear and Jackson cordless in the homes and gardens thread so obviously it bit the dust , this was 20 percent off and a better 4ah battery, seems pretty powerful as it can attack a damp lawn on no 2 height without cutting out (it automatically steps the power up)
Oh yeah and it mulches ,very important
