It was the base G1610T 4GB no optical drive (That space houses an SSD for windows now).

I got it from TechData through the company I work for, so I managed to get it VAT free....

I like it so far but the back/forward buttons are in the wrong place. the MX Performance seemed to have them better-positioned. Still, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

People use them for alsorts. Nas, Plex boxes, home automation, etc etc

That's cool, I'm close to clicking "Buy".

I've wanted to set up Plex for a while and have a Pi3 but yet to use it. My main thoughts for use is:

General storage + backup of about 1TB personal photographs and documents
The Plex stuff and media hosting

Also possibly using for virtual machines. I'm trying to get into pen testing and malware analysis and so the ability to use different machines and "attack" them is really useful.

What OS are you and others using? I'd love to use Windows Server as it's an area I know little about but the cost of it is quite a bit

To sell the other one? It makes more financial sense most of the time to buy 2x starter kits and sell the Hub than 2 extra bulbs on it's own

I guess, although i am too lazy to do these things....will likely end up with a hub sitting in the bottom of the drawer for years if i do this.

It's the same price to get 2 hubs as it is for another 3 bulbs,i can always sell the hub but will keep it for a spare.
