It has been on my agenda as I'm considering going 54 39 but not quite got the balls :D
But then theyre only 600 odd miles old and don't look nearly as bad now I've actually cleaned them up... Although I have just had to go and check because in that pic the leading edge looks concave, square on it isn't.
 
That's what made me flag it. I've generally found I can go two chains per chainring/cassette change however the second chain wears much more quickly.
 
I'd always do chain and cassette together, you can't get alsorts of uneven wear issues otherwise.

Chainrings rarely need doing in my experience unless they're made of chocolate.

Clearly my two Specialized's had chocolate chainrings!
