Shotgun mic ended up not being suitable for exactly what I wanted so it got replaced with Stereo Videomic Pro version, it's smaller and lighter but picks up everything around nicely with the +20dB boost for lower noise floor by lowering the camera's pre-amp.

Dead kitten included in the deal :D

Nice, what are you planning on using it for?

Ambience recordings for timelapses/car videos and other projects happening over the next 6-12 months. Mostly to generally have a much better sound recording of all videos especially as it's stereo and each mic is angled in such a way so you get that holophonic 3D surround pickup. which is really cool and cinematic.

no, i got "done" by a roadside (static) camera I've driven past 100's of times before.

The stretch of road changes 50 to 60 and back again - I thought i was is the 60 stretch, but wasn't got clocked at 58 in a 50.
