Ex rental snow shoes. Will hopefully get a few weeks out of them this season still.

I'd love to see a source for that statistic. As a rule crime is not rising, it's falling.

I'd still like to see the source of the statistic.

St. Paul's Bay crime is high in comparison.

Finally the last article (and probably the latest): http://www.timesofmalta.com/article...me-figures-leap-by-nearly-13-in-a-year.508447

The in-depth review also showed that St Julian’s remained top of the league as crime capital with a rate five times the national level. The locality covers the Paceville area, which every weekend hosts thousands of young party-goers.
In second place is Cospicua with a crime rate that ranges between two and five times the national rate.
Dr Formosa noted that for the first time since 1998 St Paul’s Bay moved down a risk category, becoming a safer place in terms of reported crimes.

Its obvious that St. Julians has the highest crime rate. The the party place, so 'common' crimes like fights, drugs etc. are always going to be there. Its also one of the top central business districts, so you do expect to see a lot of pickpocketing and such. There are also a lot of beaches, which leads to pick pocketing (people leave stuff unattended when they go for a swim).

In 2nd place there is Cospicua, which as I mentioned, is a very rough place in the south.

3rd is St. Paul's Bay. As the article said, its the first time since 1998 that this place has gone down the rankings. it achieved this 'reputation' because of the multi-cultural people it has (and the fact that a lot of ex-prisoners are going there).

Mr Galea said while a few years ago nobody would have dreamt St Paul’s Bay required such a service, it was now clear it had to be extended.
“The community in St Paul’s Bay has become multicultural, multilingual, multi-religious and extremely complex. For social integration to have a chance of success, this reality has to be understood and accepted by all.”

I am in no way racist, and/or hate Eastern Europeans. I have friends who are living there right now!

I just want to point out that I'm not sure where this thieving stereotype(?) has come from, as I never heard it!

I hope this thread doesn't turn into a whole debate about crime/eastern europeans etc. but remains on topic. Sorry if I derailed it. :D

My wife is really enjoying Beyond Two Souls at the moment. Looks like I won't be played TLOU for a while, or wearing the Infamous beanie (which has already found an owner.... :o:D

I'm pretty sure I read it well  If the people are going to live in the south or in St. Paul's Bay, they have a small problem. if not, then its not a problem.

(If they are going in the places I mentioned, good luck fitting in if you are English :D:D)

I know someone that owns a very nice place in Mellieħa, and have spent a few times out there. Lovely country with superb weather.

St Julians is a proper **** hole haha. A sedate country and suddenly you've got a small cluster of mayhem. Still, not bad for a few drinks!

What's Malta like to actually live in? Are the people friendly to Western Europeans? Seems like a difficult place to get employment?

Beyond is quite good, TLoU is superb though. Don't forget the Left Behind DLC once you've completed the full game, it's excellent.
