It's my sons 4th Birthday tomorrow and today we got his presents

All of the new Thunderbirds toys
Hot Wheels track set and cars
Chuggington trains
A remote Switch & Go Dinosaur

That'll be one happy man!

My 4yo wouldn't have enough room for all of that! haha
Can barely see the floor as it is!

For me, I'd say it's a bit much, but mainly due to the site of the other toys mine has that are unplayed with.

I always take a picture like that for my own collection of each years birthday and xmas. I wish I had them to look back on all the great toys I had hours of fun with.
Yup - the photo is for us/him to look back on in the long and distant future.

He's at Nursery until 3pm when we pick him up to open his presents.
Just spent £30 on batteries for everything

I asked for a BMX one year and got one...Nothing else...

I asked for action Man...I got one

Aren't you answering your own question here?

What if the kid didn't ask for these presents, and they instead were just purely surprise gifts generously thought of by the parents?

I understand the potential concern if a kid literally went through a catalogue and circled just about everything he wanted, and the parents caved in a bought everything to keep them happy.

...but I'd be over the moon if I were 4 and received all those gifts completely unknowingly :D

A raspberry pi 2 to mess around with (and some earphones to try out). Got a power adapter and a case just waiting on a micro-SD card to arrive.

Who are you to decide what is a "sensible amount" for this mans child?

Ive seen much worse excesses. My old boss would buy his kids (under 10) games consoles plus about 10 games, hifi systems iphones, go karts (proper racing ones), clothes, etc.

So his 6 year old's presents one christmas, about £5ks worth and filled an entire room. I reckon it would take the kid all day just to open them all.

that piece to the left goes to the C4 - this bomb needs AC which is a bit of a design flaw...not many road sides have mains supply.

Guess I just need to wait for more electric car hook ups.

....i'm now on a watch list...right?

put it in a brief case and show it to your teacher/boss

But there are no other Humans involved....:p

Spaffing money on yourself is totally different to Spaffing loads on a young human...:p

I cut the grass and washed cars etc...for treats when I was a kid.

I asked for a BMX one year and got one....Nothing else....

Its all about balance....

I asked for action Man...I got one, not 5 jeeps 5 action figures and the death slide etc...I got those for other occasions....The waiting was all part of the fun and excitement growing up...

Just because thats how you were brought up doesnt mean everyone should.
