In Mensa!

I like numbers, as such I'm taking distance learning A levels in Maths, Business studies and accountancy, with a view to go onto an ACCA/ACA course. Really enjoying the accountancy course. Though I have my doubts about it for a career, so may go for management accounting post a levels to get a role in a company rather just auditing companies for an accountacy.

As for medical school, that will remain a closed book for me as I can't do a level chemistry anywhere near me, nor is it offered as a distance learning course for lab work requirements :(

You could apply to sit the Cambridge entrance exam on the basis of your ability alone.

My wife is an ACA qualified accountant and you could do a lot worse. At 33 she is the Group Global Treasurer for a multinational HR company and she loves it.

Hmmm I CANNOT believe the OP is STILL responding to this and makign himself look like even more of a breast!

If I was "the_Sophisticate" I would let my entire online "persona" die and start afresh.

OP wtf are you even thinking? You not at uni, you are a forklift truck driver in a warehouse doing nightshift and you are trying to tell everyone how intelligent you are?

Its nuts. Plain and simple. Its beyond a laugh now. I think you have a serious behavioural issue, as most people would be gone by now, but you keep coming back for more attention.

If you were that clever, you would already be working in Finance or studying for a degree. You are a warehouse monkey not Stephen Hawking. It sounds like you havent even got any school qualifications ffs! Were you "too clever" for school?

Anyone who has even the slightest of clues can get themselves into Uni. I am lost for words here, I really am!

Mensa must be ridiculously easy to get into these days.

Apparently the first test of MENSA is super dupa easy to suck people in. Then those suckers who are sucked in get to do all the super dupa hard tests just to pay some money and get sweet fa, according my my mummy.

Trying to think back to when i did it. Think i got 147 in the first, cost £10 to get marked. Then 144 and 168 in the 2 you sit while being monitored so wouldnt really say the first is easier. Cost nothing because of a special offer. After that is £45 or something/ year which i never bothered paying because i only did the test to wind up a mate who was doing them. I wouldnt get any benefit from it but im sure some people do

Why do you need a test to tell you how knowledgable you are here?

That's what post counts are for =]*

I strongly disagree on this one. Just because you are a forklift driver or do manual labour, does not mean that you are thick as a plank. Similarly, if you are super intelligent, doesnt necessarily mean that you will do a job is suited to your intelligence level.

On another note, just because you are have a degree (or 2), under your belt, does not mean that you have high intelligence. Intelligence is something which is not necessarily linked to higher/further education.

If you were that clever, you would already be working in Finance or studying for a degree.

As stated, it does not follow that if you have high intelligence, that you will attempt to go the academic route.

Anyone who has even the slightest of clues can get themselves into Uni.

I agree.

However, even if the OP does have a super high intelligence level, this bears little relation to whether or not he is accepted at Universities.

I think people are confusing a high IQ score with education. The 2 are not the same, though they may be linked.

To give you an idea, I was working in a supermarket for many years, during my 20s. I have a high IQ. A first degree in Mathematics. A Masters in computer programming. Yet, for at least a decade, I was not making use of these "skills". I was happy to work jobs which require little mental aptitude and no responsibility.

I'm still struggling to understand what people have against the OP.

From my perspective, he is bragging about his intelligence, but he is not insulting me or hurting me in any way, hence, I have nothing against the guy and have no need to show any animosity towards him.

My only regret is that he is not a computer programmer. If he was I would've asked him to work on my AI project and put his money where his mouth is.

Well apparently just his "member" but I missed the whole incident and all trace seems to have been deleted from the internet now.
