This is my take on things:
Everytime they switch down a level time flows differently. ....
So when Fischer dies briefly in the snow setting dream, and goes therefore into limbo, how come Cobb finds him in his dream and not in Limbo?
I think its not quite Limbo as such - more like such a deep stage of dreaming that it seems like forever.
Similar questions for the Limbo state here.
Why wasn't Cobb old like Saito. When the others woke up why not just push Cobb and Saito over and they would wake up. Or at least play music to cobb so he'd realise he was still dreaming.
Still cracking film and even more funnier when the wife referred to it as Conception. Wimmin, babies on the brain!
As far as Cobb/Saito thing goes, I believe it's because Saito had been in the dream state/limbo for much longer than Cobb. Consider that Saito died in dream 3 and that time is greatly amplified the further down you go. Even if Cobb entered Saitos level just a few minutes later, this would be decades in level 5 (Cobbs dream being level 4). As far as physical kicks go on the plane, this was removed as being possible due to the level of sedation.
I thought that was the answer too, but then why was Fischer not old as well. He too died around the same time as Sato. My brain hurts!
Fischer was in level 4 as opposed to 5, and it isn't 100% clear if he's completely dead, as the Eames gets him going again with the defribulator. Thinking about it, does Fischer definitely die at all, since the defrib brings him back and lets him enter the vault.
Is this the one where Leonardo DiCaprio gets repeatedly bashed in the face with an axe?
Just found this on youtube, pretty cool I thought
It also reminds me of this:I still don't understand the levels 4 and 5 and how limbo/death works with that.
I'm taking the GF to see this tomorrow.
Is it worth me;
A) Getting and Orange Wednesdays code and chancing it for £10 total spend.
or
B) Paying for a train for me and her to go to an Imax (£12 total) and booking in advance premier seats (about £24). So £36 total.
Is the film worth £26 extra for Imax and premier seats?
Couple of questions.
What was said by the dying father at the end? His son said I know you're dissapointed. No, I'm dissapointed you tried - is what it sounded like?
Also why would the loss of gravity only effect one instance? Surely it would be felt all the way down?
Probably a flaw here somewhere, but this is how I saw it...
If you die within in a dream while heavily sedated, your mind ends up in limbo.
If you go too deep in dream states your mind can't handle it and you end up in limbo.
Limbo is shared by everyone connected to the dream sharing machine. I'm fairly certain it's stated in the film that limbo is filled with whatever was created by anyone in the dream sharing session who has been there before. Cobb was the only one that had been in limbo before, which is why all his 'stuff' was there.
