Incident outside parliament in london - developing now

Sorry, i did a free check, no HPI. So, i would not get written off status.

it had a lot of odd faults appear in last year's MOT:
Refusal Notices
  • Nearside rear stop lamp(s) not working (4.3.1 (a) (ii))
  • Offside rear stop lamp(s) not working (4.3.1 (a) (ii))
  • Nearside front headlamp aim too high (4.1.2 (a))
  • Offside front direction indicator not working (4.4.1 (a) (ii))
  • Offside front headlamp not working on main beam (4.1.1 (a) (ii))
  • Parking brake lever has excessive movement indicating incorrect adjustment (1.1.6 (c))
Advisory Notices
  • Steering rack has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.3 (a) (i))
Possibly as a result of a back-street garage fix leaving a load of stuff unfinished?
either a lot of defective bulbs, or a potential electrical issue?

Has anyone seen anything more about the van that followed his car down the same route then stopped after he crashed? Was this just someone seeing what he was up to and following him, or could there have been accomplices?

Lets break this down to what Scotland Yard have said about this incident:

He was detained under the Terrorism Act and taken to a south London police station.
- Not unusual when circumstances are unknown - It also means you can keep the suspect detained for 14 days (rather than 24 hours in normal case!). So if they can use this act, they do, as it makes it much easier to hold someone who is potentially dangerous without charging them.

Police say their priority is to understand the circumstances of, and motivation for, the crash.
- Essentially "We don't know why this happened"

No-one else was in the car when it crashed and no weapons were found in it.
- So, it does not fit the profile of other "terrorist activity"

Police are treating it as a terrorist incident "given that this appears to be a deliberate act, the method, and this being an iconic site"
- "It might be terrorism, but we don't know so lets just treat it as one for now because of where it happened"

Its clear that this is still not a confirmed attack, its just the only category we can fit it into until we know any better..

Nah m8 hes black muslamic terrorist. prob hid his sharia raygun b4 the attack

So he is 29 year old Salih Khater - A Sudanese immigrant with previous convictions for GBH and weapons possession. A real asset to the country since he has been here it seems.

Deport please.

I'm trying to work out whether this guy was a more incompetent terrorist than the guy who "masterminded" the Glasgow airport attack. On the one hand Glasgow guy managed to injure more people, however, he also then set himself alight and got a kicking from a couple of angry Glaswegians. It's a very tough call.

given they say he drove hundreds of miles through the night, you have to wonder if the sudden amublance started a sleepy panic mode that ended in a crash.
alternatively, maybe he got there and realised he'd forgotten to pack the car bomb and just tried his best w/ a ram raid.

Seems pretty unlikely that it isn't a terror attack at this stage... the next most likely situation is that it was some attempted murder by someone with mental health issues and doesn't get classed as a terror attack due to lack of political motive.

No, no, no, you're not allowed to use the phrase immigrant. He is a "British citizen who came from another country originally".

Classic virtue signalling :D

Yeah, Conservative MP's are well known virtue signallers...!?

I guess the difference is, that if they said he was an "immigrant" then that doesn't necessarily suggest he applied for British citizenship/asylum.

This is, of course, why the immigrant crimeware in the Scandinavian countries goes under reported. "Officially" the perps are Citizens and not Immigrants.
The recent widespread arson in Sweden a few days ago, weren't the perps described as 'dark haired men'. lol. Bunch of Italians I suppose.
