Incident outside parliament in london - developing now

But it doesn't go unreported. It's widely reported.

It's under reported exactly which section of Swedish society is responsible. I doubt there were many people involved with a Swedish heritage going back more than a single generation. I can understand why the media try and avoid pointing the finger but it becomes tiresome and the lurch to the right in Sweden indicates the populous have had enough.

Can people stop being morons, changing your Facebook profile totally fights the terrorists... we just need more togetherness.

The moronic thing to do is try and claim it's a response to try and stop anything, rather than just be an expression of sympathy to the victims.

Have we had any morons pipe up with the usual “Have we had any morons pipe up with the usual "let's just all change our facebook filters, that'll stop them" snidey comment yet?”, yet?

Membership of the Nothing To See Here Crew dwindled to about 5 people, so they have to compensate by being extra sneery.

"Don't speculate guy's"

"Could be an accident"

"Yay it's a white guy, lols, take that conservatives, best hope he's a convert"

"Oh wait he's not a white guy"

"Oh, looks like it is a terrorist incident"

I'm amused that you're actually criticising people for refusing to leap to conclusions before all the facts are known.

We had a incident similar to this in Melbourne last December. Some Afghan guy called Saeed Noori (an Australian citizen) deliberately hit 19 pedestrians with his car, killing one and badly injuring the rest.

Conservatives immediately melted down in screams of 'Terrorist!' Everyone else said 'Wait and see.' Police quickly determined that Noori's attack was completely unrelated to terrorism, and made a public statement to this effect. Then it emerged that Noori had a long history of mental illness and drug abuse. Conservatives still screamed 'Terrorist!'

Noori has since been charged with murder. He has not been charged with any terrorism offences. Psychiatrists are still assessing his fitness to stand trial. Conservatives are still screaming 'Terrorist!' because now they're committed to the idea, and feel that they can't afford to admit they were wrong.

Also in December 2017, another guy ran down a bunch of pedestrians with his car, killing 6 and injuring many others. He had dark skin, so of course conservatives immediately screamed 'Terrorist!' Turns out the perpetrator was a Greek Christian called James Gargasoulas, with a history of mental illness. He believes he is the Messiah, and his fitness to stand trial is still being debated. Conservatives have been curiously reluctant to condemn him.

Yes, sometimes the guy in a car is a terrorist. But most of the time he is not, and that's why it's always wise to withhold judgement until all the evidence is available.

And yet we have you amusingly leaping for joy when you get a glimpse of a white guy... :D
