Indian Grand Prix 2013, New Delhi - Race 16/19

It's pretty much as when Mansell was dominating the vast majority of races in 1992, or Schumacher in 1995 (and 2002 and 2004). And the racing behind them was pretty good too (though arguably less so than some of the awesome battles we've seen in 2013). Meh. It happens. Well done to Vettel and Red Bull - they deserve it. :)

I suppose this is the difference between watching to see who wins and watching to see a race.

There has been some great racing going on this season. But I do get that it can be hard to ignore the fact there's some German dude miles out in front.

This. It hasn't been processional behind him.

Not sure why people bother posting in these threads just to continue telling us they don't care or don't watch anymore.

Oh look ..all pally pally now they are going out on a date together..staying over guys ;)

i for one would like a more competitive grid including the back markers

Ignoring the rather tedious complaining about the front of the field, there is definitely an issue at the back that needs sorting. 4 years in F1 and Marussia and Caterham are as far from the midfield as they were on day 1 of 2010.

I'm not (completely) blaming the teams, the FIA have not created a formula where new entrants are able to get up to speed easily. No testing, no development, and picking teams based on political allegiances rather than ability.

I blame One owner two teams RBS\toro rosso because they was the only ones to veto a cap last year.

It's tough on those teams, they were given the impression it would be a lot easier (cheaper) than it is for them... But like you say it needs sorting, they can't continue going along as they are forever, they are still around after this time which is actually an achievement in itself.

I think next season must surely when it'll be make or break for them, this must be their best chance to close the gap.

No way, that's 100% due to Sky. Nothing to do with Vettel at all.

:p

this trend started before Sky. so not 100% Sky's fault as you state, not to mention F1 is covered also by BBC

figures are dropping worldwide, it's not just the UK. China, US, Russia etc... look at India they can't fill the stands :p

FYI in 2009 there were 600m viewers, now it's around the 500m mark

Don't worry, I was being facetious and sarcastic, as when I tried to argue that the drop in figures wasn't all Skys' fault and mirrored the situation the last time we had a German winning eveything, I got my head bitten off and labelled a Sky fanboy.

I dont see anything changing there, if anything it gets worse. There just simply isn't the spending power, less points, less prominent sponsors and less prize money

It's like a positive feedback

didn't know about that. I guess we agree then :)

PS I don't blame Vettel or RBR they are just doing their job too well. I blame the governing bodies which are not addressing the issue of competitive grid

You are likely right :( Unless one of those teams can come up with some ingenious understanding of the rules and regs to somehow gain an advantage.

didn't know about that.

He got the name skyboy from me when sky said they was getting F1 because

Skeeter=guys sky's got F1 do you think I should sign up?
Skeeter= I don't think I will be getting sky now..will stick to the BBC.

Skeeter= guys just got told by sky I can get a good deal for sky F1..what you think?
