Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

I will only bother with a 5090 if there is a sizeable difference in gains. I don't expect any new tech to come out of 50 series so there's no other reason to go from a 4090 like there was from 3080 Ti to 4090. 50-60fps in one area of the game on a game like this is no big deal, still smooth and responsive lol. My dynamite video above does it look like it's running at lower fps? I rest my case :p

The rest of the game is of course locked 85fps with path tracing so all good.

Been trying to hold of playing this but it looks so damn good with HDR at 4k even with just normal RT  Amazed at how well this is running even without frame gen. It puts UE 5 to shame tbh. Also, the audio is excellent.

Looks great! Can you share the wallpapers?

How much difference is path tracing making overall to the look of the game, compared to maxed out non PT? I have a 7900xtx so its a no go.

Like with the other PT games, it completely depends on the area of scene being looked at, it can be minimal at best to noticeable. Metal shiny objects casting shadows and bounce light? yeah noticeable, a dark cave or other standard lighting area which hardware RT does well enough anyway? Minimal at best.

The big benefit here is that the shadows are now PT and in anywhere with foliage and many shadows, this is now really clean and accurate whereas with normal RT it's not as clean and is noticeably obvious. So you could just enable PT shadows alone and be done with it and leave GI to just RT.

TLDR : mrk is getting a 5090 next year :D

The performance on my 4070 Super keeps going from a pretty smooth 70-80fps to completely tanking and I can't work out which setting I need to change to fix it (I'm not using path tracing). I'm guessing it's hitting some sort of memory limit with only 12GB

Got frame gen on? Could be that frame spike bug.

Not a CPU issue potentially? Could be way off here

Why is no one talking about the distant animations being a low fps? It's the same as RE2 remake which a mod had to fix.

Try lowering texture pool. Makes no difference to visual quality apparently.

I've got my settings at Ultra, Path tracing to medium and DLSS on, FG on running at 1440p and I'm getting 100+FPS with no tanking
Running a 3700x with 4070 super
I've only played for 30mins but so far no tanking

Holy moly! I totally forgout about GeForce Now. I was going to play this via Xcloud but GFN will be a far better experience. Happy holidays!

EDIT: And it seems you only need PC Game Pass not the Ultimate version.
