Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

Path tracing can be done on higher end AMD cards, but I think (and stand to be corrected) that this games's PT implementation requires a 4 series card.

I doubt there is an AMD card capable of running the full path tracing option at playable frame rates. At least not until FSR with frame gen is implemented.

Man indoors when natural sunlight shines in, PT really does come into its own:

And shadows has been mentioned, whilst it's not ray traced when PT is off, it is much more stable when PT is on:

Also, just found out you can burn the propaganda posters:

25.9 hours played and still got a lot of side stuff to do. Exploring is rather fun.

Cannot even get it to run on poverty min spec GPU RTX2060 Super says GPU is not good enough LOL cheaper to buy an Xbox bundle with the game included than a new GPU ROFL ;)

That's really weird. I'm playing it on a lowly 3060 and it's lovely. Must be the 12GB VRAM.
It's not weird, minimum spec is 8GB VRAM, the 2060 super could run it but the original 2060 unfortunately not.

I say unfortunately because I am loving this game, I think the graphics look quite amazing the deeper you get into it. I'm in some underground monastery at the minute and everything leading up to that has looked spectacular

Had a bug in Giza that is apparently happening quite frequently.

During 'Sanctury of the guardians' side quest, Gina gets stuck in a tomb where you are eventually supposed to give her a boost up.

I had to spend 5-10 minutes gently nudging her around holding a lighter up to get her to the point where the ai path finding seems to kick in again.

I was travelling recently but managed to get through the intro on a 6gb VRAM 2060 laptop at 1080p. All low settings plus DLSS but it kept a steady 60.

About 30mins in, not sure a stealth intro was the best choice to keep me interested but meh, hoping it'll soon change. The interactions are annoying though, E to use then D to turn W to push up etc.... Would like an option to just 'interact'

Not so bad with a gamepad, but still a pointless exercise.

I played the opening scenes with KB and mouse, but have switched to a gamepad since and find it a better experience. Enjoying it so far (just done 4 hours this evening) and as its the only game I've played this year that was released this year, it becomes my GOTY :)

I really get put off by the controls in games these days - a plethora of things to setup with sometimes conflicting bindings when it could easily all be done with less than 1/3rd of the number of controls and some basic context awareness. I was thinking about getting this game but feel like I'll just get annoyed by the input mapping and shelve it.

Interestingly I started off with a controller but for some reason prefer mouse and keyboard with this game. Game is awesome, couldn't really ask for more, actually feels like you're Indiana Jones.
