Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

I feel like there will be many people who end up disappointed with this because I dont think its going to be the sort of game that they think its going to be. I sort of suspect that a lot of people will be expecting a kind of Indy action rpg and I think its going to be much more puzzle and very linear story than that. Almost more of an adventure game than an action game, but we'll see.

Another whopper of a game too, 130gb. Been some huge game sizes this year, I can see more than a few people having SSD/NVMEs on their Christmas lists this year :)

I’m expecting a first person Uncharted type game, with a whip.

Hopefully that’s what we get!

Apparently has a lot of stealth elements ... alongside the expected puzzles / tomb raider-esque gameplay. I'm looking forward to it, but part of me thinks MS/Xbox studios will still somehow find a way to screw this up ( as they did with MSFS2024, Redfall, Starfield etc ).

Early access is the 6th and reviews are on the 5th, so least there's a good few days of review roundup before launch.

That video was a bit of a stretch ... but I admit, I'm wary of review embargos prior to release. Always feels like the publisher/devs are trying to hide something. On Steam, pre-sales are poor ( as is the case with Avowed ). I'd wager most people are going to play via Game pass, which is my plan. If it turns out to be bad, no harm done.

Another 'game' with Sweet Baby Inc accreditation...another game to avoid.
I was thinking the trailer actually made it look quite good, other then the combat maybe being a bit clunky, but yeah, here we go again.

Can expect Indy being chastised for taking artefacts from indigenous people or something.

Will be interesting to see what actual reviewers make of it first.

I'll give it a go since it'll be on Game Pass, but not hyped for it. I like Indy and I like MachineGames (with the exception of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which was poo) but this looks a bit meh.

Trailer looked ok, wishlisted on Steam, but hardware raytracing gpu needed so that's me out till next year when the new gpus are about. User reviews and impressions will be about by then as well.
