Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (2024)

This is reviewing really well. A decent spread of 7/10 to 10/10 reviews. I'm currently watching the gameranx review and he's very positive about it.

"It feels like a very, very light Dishonored, or like a baby-mode Thief mixed with a dash of Hitman and Riddick Escape from Butcher's Bay."

All games I love, so where do I sign? :D

Interesting. Was thinking of skipping it but some day might join game pass to play it if it is anything like that.

You know what, I'm gonna get it on steam again, it's so good that it's worth the price and being forever in my library. I'll play half the game now then the rest with path tracing.

TLDR: decent but not great.

Perfect to play on gamepass for me then. But will wait until at least after completing KCD2. Beta testing should be done by then hopefully :D

Only managed about 15 hours of STALKER 2 so far. At this rate be lucky if I complete it before KCD2 is out

Interesting, I turned off Frame Gen and enabled framerate lock in Nvidia app (120fps) and now without Frame gen the frametime jitter has vanished. Seems leaving the game uncapped fps is what causes the frametime jitter, which is remedied by using Frame gen, or locking the framerate, which doesn't seem to work in-game, but does via RTSS/Nvidia driver.

Why has id tech never gained the same traction as Unreal Engine when it seems to perform much better?

I think it be more expensive to licence. If it's like the older versions, the dev tools are also a lot simpler on UE.

The Unreal engine was always the cheaper alternative, even going right back to the beginning.
