[Indie Game] Project Zomboid

Got it last night. Great little game. Been reading the wiki. I've decided it's definatley best to find a place and make a camp there, stock up on bits then explore.

Can you host your own server easily? I just want to play with my girlfriend or a friend or two.

Yeah, very. Just run the batch file "ProjectZomboidServer.bat" from the games install folder. You'll need to create an admin password and possibly open a port on your router but that's everything.

Awesome, tempted to buy it. Would have to be two copies though. I love sandbox but sortof put off by the lack of direction in this one. Maybe because it's not as immersive as first person.

What's the best price for this? I've been enjoying the demo and want to pick up two copies :)

It's rarely on offer (only 4 times in over 8 months). Best chance to currently get it lower than £9.99 is from a gray key place like Kinguin. Still worth £9.99 though. Alternatively, you could just put it on your Steam wishlist and wait for an offer.

Pretty shocked this does not get much love on here tbh, the game is pretty amazing. The best survival game we have atm really. PvP/PvE/Base Building/Seasonal Weather/TONS of zombies/Crafting is insane, list goes on really.

I have been slow burning the hours with PZ. Only thing lacking is NPC. Seriously needs NPC survivors, either to join your group, or have a roaming hunter party as an enemy faction. Very brilliant game otherwise. :)

Yeah I think they are working hard on NPC's and vehicles. I am just happy the loot respawns on multiplayer servers now. Was a royal pain before when you joined and everything was taken lol.

Amazing game indeed. Get's a bit stale without NPC's once you got a decent place with veg garden though so I'm waiting 'til they're released before playing it again

Have you tried online? you can actually raid peoples stuff and kill them, I do hope they add some kind of protection for bases when people are offline and at work etc.

Great game but development is too slow and it can turn into a boring inventory click fest!

Also too easy to survive forever!

Build 30:

Development is not that slow, you have to use a code on steam to get all the content before it hits stable on steam. So you get to try all the new stuff that may be broken first.

Yer I know the [iwillbackupmysave]! ;)

This game has been in development for years, even before the Dayz mod.

I know its a small team and all but it makes Kerbal space program development look super fast in comparison.
