*** Infestation: Survivor Stories ***

Well I must have killed upwards of 40 players last night, I died to a crash though... It's funny running around with painkillers and people thinking you're safe as you don't have a weapon then when they turn around sprint at them quick switch and boom... Yea' I got loads of abuse last night :) Got a few masks, spiked bats, must have about 40 bandages in store, over 100 food and about 15 weapons :D

ffs still crashing like mad for me after that so called patch...

poxy devs, alpha or not its shocking...

Some people forget what Alpha is:

"Alpha

The alpha phase of the release life cycle is the first phase to begin software testing (alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, used as the number 1). In this phase, developers generally test the software using white box techniques. Additional validation is then performed using black box or gray box techniques, by another testing team. Moving to black box testing inside the organization is known as alpha release.[2]

Alpha software can be unstable and could cause crashes or data loss. The exception to this is when the alpha is available publicly (such as a pre-order bonus), in which developers normally push for stability so that their testers can test properly. External availability of alpha software is uncommon in proprietary software. However, open source software, in particular, often have publicly available alpha versions, often distributed as the raw source code of the software. The alpha phase usually ends with a feature freeze, indicating that no more features will be added to the software. At this time, the software is said to be feature complete."

Hope that clears up the crashing points :)

But wasn't the game in Beta?, then it went alpha, and it's only a few weeks away from beta again

No idea m8, but the fact is it was released to the public clearly in Alpha stage so people really should let up on the crashing side of things at least. I think some people are expecting a full finished game early.

Is it not released in a month? Surely issues that people are having this bad should have been ironed out before now. Devs are starting to use "alpha" as an excuse for all the bugs, nothing more. Being a month from release the game should be in beta by now, sounds like it's not ready at all.

Also this amount of players are more likely to find bugs than a few 100 at a couple of expos.

Got bitter about being killed so doing the 'friendly' followed by whack to the back of the head with a torch can't stop laughing

I can't help but think this game won't pull in the crowds like DayZ will.

DayZ worked so well because of the the fact it was modded onto the ARMA Real Virtuality engine. The veteran level and realism that the base game provided added to the atmosphere.

Sure the zombies eventually turned out to be a minimal threat once you worked out the mechanics of them but now they have access to the engine completely they can make them function correctly.

WarZ just lacks the harshness of ARMA that most of us have come accustomed to in DayZ.

Is this just with players? Every time I have a bit of a ruck with a zombie we end up in this "waltz" going round in circles and I have to bash them about 30 times for them to drop, the trouble is generally by the time we have been in this clutch for a few minutes all his/her mate decide they fancy a dance aswell so I normally end up running off :D

I must admit the zombies are seriously lame in this game... Not sure if I prefer the crazed drugged up DayZ zombies or the stoner WarZ zombies.
