*** Infestation: Survivor Stories ***

Lag or cheats do you think?

At least two have 100% been hackers. Usually around the airport, strangely enough. I think they like the tower. I'm not sure how to tell if I have lag in this game, but I'm on fibre optic so have no trouble with any other game.

Glad you can see who has killed you now. I can't recommend the low pop servers enough, too :D

Really looking forward to an OcUK clan! We should definitely nominate a town to 'rule' to control ze lewt.

Yeah the possibilities are endless :)

Just met up with Witcher in game, gave him some weapons and basic stuff but I had to log off as i'm at work :(

Tried to rescue his first character but having no sound, I didn't hear the horde approaching from behind and killed both of us haha

I know it's ghey but if your desperate to find loot, the trick of heading to a location, grabbing what you can and then logging off and joining a different server does work (I hope they stop this myself but if you have nothing it's safer than running around being shot at)

Haha yeah I was stuck behind a counter and James came to rescue me but he failed. I jumped over the counter to grab his stuff and I got killed to lol. Zombie damage has been increased big time. Cheers for all that stuff when we met the second time dude.

Some guy on chat said Boulder City now has nearly all buildings open, but no loot yet.

Last time I went to Boulder City there was nothing there and hardly any buildings to go into! The more buildings the better tbh and they still need to increase zombie numbers imo to really get players working together.

No worries about the stuff, hope it helps you out.

Ok, can confirm a lot of buildings in BC are open, however they've only unlocked 2 floors and they are all empty, a little pointless.

EDIT: Be careful going in and out of buidlings, it's just glitched me into an upstairs "room" that I can't get out of.

Just a little story to give you guys some hope. Humans can be trusted *sometimes*

Well last night after all my friends went I deceided to do a bit of looting on my own in the pitch black. Im running back from the helicopter thats north or blue ridge trying to get my loot back to the safe zone, when I see a human running right towards me at my 11 oclock less than 20 foot out running right towards me, I realise hes goign to see me any second so hit the deck. Spawn on proxy do not move "hit the deck", He dives to the ground spams "unarmed", unarmed please dont shoot"

I move right up to him so I no he can see me.

Can I trust him I think ? I ask him where are you going, To the helicopter he says, "ok mate, run past me keep running and do not turn around", "ok he says" and keeps running I watch him out to about 100ft away my shotty pointing at him at all times.

The chap kept running without turning round so I let him live, proxy goes up again, "thanks spils" :D whey a thank you anotehr 5 minutes later another message goes up "Spils for being friendly meet me at blue ridge ill be there in 2 minutes I have a present for you"

erm I think ok, I hide in a bush for a few minutes waiting for the guy to come back again he enters the base I track him all the way in without him spotting me again, he asks me to meet him at the digger.

I move to the digger he thanks me for being kind and not killing him logs out says wait here. few minutes pass then he actualy appears "I really didnt think he would" the guy drops a m4 at my feet and 9mm.

"Here Spils, it pays to not always kill people" Give me my loot then logs out" :D

So the moral of teh story if you see someone and they have no weapon in there hand dont kill them, help them out and they may reward you.

The whole encounter made me warm and fuzzy inside.

Haven't had the opportunity to play in a few days, hoping to go loot some places tonight and equip up on guns again. Nearly emptied everything on a hunting spree recently, and I hate being without any long range guns.. :P

Just had 2 encounters.. luckily I had managed to pick up an AK earlier on. Both in the dark thankfully.

First one was an unarmed guy being chased by about 3 zombies, kept running around in circles. Asked if he needed help, it was pretty obvious he did. Dropped him a flash light, killed 2 zombies and ran off. Guy said thanks and if I needed any food or drink, I just replied "trust no one" and left. Then saw this light flashing in the distance as this guy was getting his revenge on the horde ha.

Second was on the air field, saw this guy running up with a hammer. The usual "friendly?" chat was conducted, he said he wouldn't shoot and that he had an UZI. Asked if I wanted it.. I ain't fooling for that trick ;) Said no thanks, stay your side and I won't kill you. Ran into a hanger and logged off!

Who said this game was purely about being killing other people?

So general consensus, is this game worth buying? Some of the stories sound very good.

Tempted to get in on a bit of the action, however hearing about so many people getting refunds is putting me off.

Are there many gameplay videos around? Seems to be very few decent quality ones on YouTube.

Graphics look terrible, to say the least. is this because of alpha, or is this it? :D

It plays better than Dayz imo and the graphics are nicer aswell, still the same sort of atmosphere :)

Only grip I have at the moment is being killed instantly by other survivors, just turns it into another FPS game , should be more punishment for bandits.

Like the fact we can now see who killed us.

Graphics look terrible, to say the least. is this because of alpha, or is this it? :D

They aren't terrible as such, textures aren't brilliant although I think they are changing some of these once it hits beta.

It's basically DayZ but with a better UI and sort of arcade style of game play even though the same principles apply to both.. Survive, find loot, you never know what other players are thinking, etc..

For an Alpha it's good, I just hope they progress in a good direction. Weekly updates at the moment are nice, adding new features and tweaking this and that.

It has promise.

It can be hard to get into though. It's only when you start to accumulate loot and weapons that it gets interesting. Up to that point it's either hard work as you get shot instantly by bandits or trying to find loot ends up with you being eaten.

Working together in a small group is fun, with one person spotting and the rest taking people down

Must admit I was finding it a bit hard work last night always getting killed but having read some of the above advice regarding finding loot I am looking forward to getting back on it tonight.

Also impressed with the way they are updating it and they seem to be listening to the community on their website.

For the £16 I paid I will get plenty of play time out of this.

Yeah I find myself playing this more and more, it has a lot of promise for sure.

Thats why i haven't got a refund... It was only £18 so keep it!

I just jumped on now near the heli in the bolder city, took out a few guys 2 m4's few saga's then got killed as i was logging off.

I do enjoying the PvP + i'm not one of these cry babies who get shot all the time... 9//10 times i'l go in local chat and have a laugh with the guy who shot me!
