Injury Thread

I've got an annoying new one - tendonitis in my left arm. I play a lot of guitar and recently starting rowing a lot, and whether it's down to poor technique or a weakness brought about by the required flexibility of noodling on guitar, I now have a wrist that has been acheing since the weekend.

Very annoying, as rowing was the main part of my workout. :(

Injury: 'Unhappy Triad' :( Luckily not as serious as some the surgeon had seen, Cause: Playing in a Rugby Sevens tournament at the beginning of June was double tackled from the side and back on one leg. It's the only injury I've ever had as an adult that actually made me almost cry.

Injury: Getting Old :( :( , Cause: Not sure, but I got up the other morning and had the urge to listen to Genesis whilst wearing carpet slippers :o

Injury: Coccyx damaged in some way or another.

Cause: Playing Sunday league. I cleared the ball with my right foot, as I did so my left foot slipped from under me and I landed bum first on a pitch that can only be described as awful even for amateur football. I have had the constant feeling that I have to go for a dump, cant sit comfortably and Im pretty sure my sphincter is swollen. Happy days :(

injury: Tendonitis - Wrists and forearms
cause: Overuse. These are old injuries I keep at bay with the use of a steroidal herb, that contains cortisone I believe, called Cissus Quadrangularis. Everyone who's used it raves about it, it really does work wonders! Only when you stop using it, if you continue training then symptoms inevitably return after a couple of months :( I'm not currently suffering with this but I'm still taking Cissus though my current supply runs out in 2 weeks, I'm going to see how long I last without it as I've just done 4 months straight without a break.

i am starting to think that my forearm problem is tendonitis, with a touch of RSI thrown in maybe.
so you recommend CQ? could be worth a look into. i havent touched a weight in 2 weeks now (and when i did i just made the problem worse!)

Unlucky mate, such an annoying and frustrating injury.

Yep, I'd recommend the Cissus. It's one of my favourites and one of the most noticable supp's. Also has side effects like.... lowering bodyfat, increasing strength and vascularity! :)

If you decide you're interested give me shout, I'll give you the run down (good and bad) and how to get it cheap ;)

If it is your Coccyx look forward to never being able to sit comfortably for any length of time again ever it makes going to the cinema a right kick in the arse literally

How long you been suffering? I hammered mine pretty bad when I got run over almost a year ago. Was out the gym for about 2-3 months and another 2-3 months before I was 100% again but I got there in the end :)

I cracked it the first time must have been about 4 years ago ever since then I find sitting in certain ways impossible for any longer than a few minutes before I have to shift about and then 2ish months ago I broke it full on and its still very painful most of the time and sitting is a real nightmare

Injury: Badly pulled muscle in left shoulder
Cause: No idea, just woke up with it.

Can't move my shoulder back further than 90 degrees, it's really annoying.
Leroy ;)

Injury: Torn hamstring
Cause: Over zealous axe-kick. Takes a little longer to warm up that the other one since.

Injury: Torn trapezius
Cause: Over training (TKD), couldnt look over my left shoulder for months. Still casues problems 10 years later.

Injury: Strained Extensor pollicis longus / brevis tendons in thumb
Cause: Repeatedly catching thumb on other people. Takes months to heal properly and when it has done I go and do it again! V irritating.

Injury : Achilles Tendonitis in right foot.

Cause : Overuse and a tight ankle after a serious sprain 10 years ago. Not a problem if I keep it streched and strengthened.

The most serious injury : Disk Bulge between L4 and L5.

Cause : One or two back pulls when I was younger. Went away for a few years, posture and over compensation in the intervening years and the back gave up. 3 Years of hard physiotherapy, much better but was very scary at the time, thought I was never going to walk again. Any advise I can give to anyone it would be look after your back.

I received this yesterday - what an aftertaste!
:D

You get used to it. I've found best method is to fill a cup half full of water and add the Cissus. Try and mix it in but it will just keep clumping up, now add some boiling water. This makes it mix much easier. Now just neck the cup the of warm water.

Others favour the spoon onto tongue and then wash it down! I can't do this. There's always a bit gets stuck in your teeth, now that's a strong aftertaste lol.

I'll try this tonight - thanks!
