Heh just played it, looks nice, almost like BF2142 on the sandy maps. Anyway I start off at 70fps...then drops to around 30 at 4xFSAA and 8xAF.

Not normal!

CSS on HDR maps looks as good but I play with 16xAF and 16xFSAA whilst pulling 50fps average at the same settings!
 
One thing do ppl know what gun their selecting at spawn yet? I only ever want an M4 or AK but as there isnt any buy screen I can end up with a nade launcher :p


Anyone got any pointers pls?
 
riflemen get ak/m4

grenadier get m4 also

you can only have so many players of each class tho, so sometimes you're stuck with the other guns
 
RPGmen (Iraq) get the Rocket launcher (yes I know it fires grenades :p )

Grenadier (US) get the M4 with attached grenade launcher

Support get the SAW (US) or the AK with 100 bullit mag (iraq)

Engeineer (US) and sapper (Iraq) get the shotgun


can't remember the name of the rest of the classes

Cell Leader / Commander are pretty obvious ones! :p

Commander comes with the best M4, optics. :) ;) :D
 
The patch..

"1- Pace will be the same
2- New Weapons will be included.
3- Better navigation system.
4- Character Customization by selecting different faces and gears and you will be able to see the look in 3D.
5- Gore level will be enhanced.
6- Suppression fire will be enhanced.
7- Weapons menu, you will be able to select squad, gears and weapons selections.
8- Each class will have several weapons to choose from not just one like right now.
9- New maps will be expected pretty soon. ETA 1 to 3 months.
10- New patch today with a new map.
11- Death and Play animations will be enhanced.They were overlooked for the first release.
12- Support for matches and leagues will be added via plug-in.
13- Stats/rank support will be implemented.
14- Server Admin mod support such softmod will be supported.
15- Wallhacks and other hacks countermeasures will be in place keeping in mind not everything can be stopped or detected.
16- Adding gadgets to weapons might be added in the future.
17- Objectives achievement notification will be improved. Waypoint system will be as interactive as possible.
18- Issues with weapons aim and height positioning will be addressed. They are trying to correct the problem.
19- Number of riflemen will not change for the Marines. For the Iraqi side it might change.
20- Regarding Wide screen issues most of the developers use wide screen to play and code. So they are not aware of any issues other than aspect ratio.
21- Fast weapon switch still under discussion. They are still to agree on that.
22- Stance/Crouch issue still on the work.
23- Player Mute Button for spammers will be released in a couple of patches. For the moment to use voice_enable 0 in console.
24- Regarding if game going for retail. They rather be independent and nothing on the work as right now. They want full community support first. "
 
the update is looking good! they must be working their asses off :cool:

also, is the server list reporting everything as being over 250 for anybody else?
 
Enjoy playing this apart from all the TK's and the servers seem to crash lots :( Mind you, it dosent help that i have no idea what the hell i'm doing :o
