I'm so gonna get suspended for that :D

EDIT: Excuse the goon who gets a little bit too excited, that's my mate Brian.

I'm really, really, really chuffed. I've put a lot of hard work into this, quite often joking with my mates "I'll put it in and it'll just fire first turn of the key", quite tongue in cheek really, I was as surprised as they were when it fired over first time :D

Buddy Club Pro Spec ;). Didn't go over 3k. Not that I care, it's in and works, I had to give it a bit :p

You joking? I know buddy club pro spec's are loud, but that sounded like 5k RPM atleast.

Anyway, congrats:D:D:D

1000 mile run in now or whatever it is?

Before I had even had a chance to get the car MOTd it broke :D

I'm pretty sure the dizzy has gone, and new one and plugs have been ordered for delivery tomorrow, we'll see how it goes. If it is the case I imagine the cause of failure is from having the plugs out of the head and cranking the car over before startup. This makes the ignition amp work really hard to get a spark over a bad ground, which would have been the case with the plugs resting on the rocker cover. Ahh well, something less to worry about once it's sorted.

This is assuming it starts tomorrow..... :D

The distributor has just been delivered, fitted it in 10 minutes and the car started first turn of the key :)

I can't say that i'm overly happy with Probe Distributors though, the quality of the dizzy cap is shocking, it flexed loads when I was putting the leads on, not something i'd associate with good quality. Also, it make me furious when I order things and they turn out costing more than discussed. I had phone the company yesterday to order the part, asked how much it was and was told £150 plus £9 postage, fair enough says I. When it turned up this morning i've been charged £150 + VAT + postage. Nothing was mentioned of this when I was on the phone, which I feel is a bit off. Having checked their website it states that the price is £150 + VAT, but I never ordered over their site and this wasn't mentioned over the phone. It's all a bit....meh...

i had a buddy club spec II on my mx5, stupidly loud! its basically just a straight pipe.

sold it last week for £50 as it was too loud no one interested.

I actually paid a local custom exhaust place to replace the centre silencer with a larger one last year, it had little to no impact on it :D

I quite fancy an Apexi Noir at the moment, but you don't see many of them about at all.

I went in for an MOT this afternoon.

Failed :D

I was quite surprised though, the list was quite pitiful compared to what I was prepared for.

I'd forgotten to replace the split pins in the bottom ball joints. Both sides.

Headlight alignment. Both sides. (I always thought that any reasonable garage would adjust this for you, how the hell are you supposed to do it at home?

Emissions. Failed on CO on the first test, then it just say failed on the Lambda and CO on the second test. I couldn't exactly go ragging the car to heat the cat up and the fuel has been sat in the car for about a year.

Do we think that a fresh tank of fuel would help here?

All in all it didn't do as badly as I thought it would have, makes SB118s failures look mammoth :p
