Intel Battlemage Live & Available to order from OcUK

What shocks me is how this card was advertised and how great the latest drivers are. It turns out that this card fits into the £100-150 segment.
By all accounts the drivers are pretty good for the most commonly played/benchmarked games. Unfortunately however given the time they've had, they can't solve every issue/test every game.
Have you reported issues to the driver team? It may just be they've not done any specific optimization for it yet.

A lot of people play simulators and xplane is the most popular.
I'd argue Microsoft Flight Simulator is more well known.

TBF, the message I was getting off the reviews was similar - that the drivers are good now. Not that I believed them, but considering it was one of the main let downs of Alchemist, I was expecting them to dedicate a decent section of their reviews to seeing how the games performed in problem games. I think they all touched on it, but none really explored much.

It's why I think it should be cheaper than it is TBH, it's good when it works but that's assuming it does work. It's probably fine on any modern game, but as we all know - they don't make them like they used to :D

Immediately after testing B580 steel legend, I sold it due to poor performance. I bought RTX4060Ti in OCUK and to my great surprise the number of FPS jumped up twice in xplane 12 with the same settings. Also tests in Futuremark and Userbenchmark show significant differences in performance in favor of rtx. Surprise? Yes, I think it's the fault of poor Intel drivers and very good Nvidia drivers.

do you work for nvidia?

Nope, but I was lately testing several different mid range GPUs to find a sweet spot for xplane 12 and Rtx 4060ti won the game. But AMD is taking a second place
Rx7700xt. Also tested arc a770 and B580 which was worse of them all. I do not blame the quality, just the drivers which are rubbish.

It's understandable, for a new GPU, they are still working on drivers, and the game you mentioned is niche.

Did you not think to wait for reviews of the game running on a b580 if the game is as popular as you say? Surely it would have made sense to be patient and wait for benchmarks

You'd hope that a 4060Ti and 7700XT would be better given they cost quite a bit more!

Excellent news, I ordered a steel legend on the 15th and have not had an email yet. If I do I'll update.

Here's a bit of a strange one and a very true story, I ordered the Intel B580 on the 7th of December from OcUK, but I wasn't expecting it until the new year at least. Today I went out my front door for the first time since the 24th of December, I live on my own, so been pigging out on food and playing games galore. Anyhow, I noticed a large brown cardboard box on my doorstep, thinking to myself Royal Mail must have delivered it very early this morning, there was no card left through my letterbox. I proceeded to check the tracking number, damn, it was delivered on Saturday the 28th but obviously, I was unaware of the delivery as I hadn't received any notification via email or on my mobile phone.

I'm very lucky it wasn't stolen from my doorstep considering I live in a mid-terraced house and probably many folks passed my house on foot over the weekend, I guess I should count my blessings it was still there.

Wow, lucky indeed it didn't get rained on too. Surprising that a few people have mentioned that they got there parcels via royal mail but didn't get notification of shipping and a tracking number. Hope that doesn't happen to me.
