Intel Battlemage Live & Available to order from OcUK

6700XT if you can find one on this mythical deal that I've never seen :)

You mean the dozens of RX6700XT/RX6750XT deals since last year? Even OcUK had them at one point for £300. Plenty of people on here got them.

The RX7700XT and RX6800 even dropped down to just over £300 in October for a bit.

You really need to use the deal sites and shop around. I am quite happy to screenshot the deals, if you think they are mythical.

"Last year" "12 months" and "£300"

So not recently, not "sub £300" and equally not the £250 budget of the other poster (or indeed myself when I wanted to buy a GPU a couple of weeks ago)

Hi there

We have shipped the first 50 today, there is still around 150 pre-orders to go and were expecting 200 more end of next week on the Intel branded card. :)
that is some good going

it will be interesting to see if they bring out a bigger brother

Seems like the B580 is a decent card at the entry level, no issues with VRAM either unlike some of the other brands.

not bad at all given the price, and the VRAM seems to spit all over the 4060 :p

Bit of a wing and a prayer at those prices imo.

However, if that's the pp for a build, I get it, but would push the extra £26.52 and get a 6750XT in the post tomorrow-drivers are bulletproof in comparison and no one's turning RT'ing above the default low at this point on the two games that require it.

NV and AMD could just squash it with a discount/free game if they wanted to tbh.

Does anyone mention how it does with older games? I seem to remember that being an issue with Arc before, unless intel fixed that.
Digital Foundry review starting at 16:48 briefly covers it, AC Unity works just fine now but unfortunately CoD Infinite Warefare still completly failed.

The digital foundry video above shows it taking 20 minutes to compile shaders then crashes when loading Cod Infinite Warfare :D

They describe the B580 as a "Dream Product" and Impressive at 17:42.

Steady On!

Not seen them make so much praise for a product for a while.

The price versus the lack of reputation with drivers makes this one an uncertain one imo. If they just went balls to the wall with pricing it would have been great, currently it just sits as a good buy at this exact moment in time. As mentioned, any AMD price cuts come January with the new line announcements will make the B580 just another one to forget about.

It's great to see these good reviews, but i'm not running out to buy one, and i was mulling it over. Those rx6800 look far more tempting to invest in.

Not sure why the video reviewers are going wild for this - it's 5% better than a 4060 (and in the UK is still the same price)

EDIT:
7% average in Techspot's review

Because of them over hyping anything and everything Nvidia has done over the last two decades they now feel like they need to over hype Intel to redress the now total market domination they caused, you know.... by doing the same thing.....

The most hilarious thing was Steve Walton, he said because of the B580 the 4060 now needs to be $200, $50 cheaper... for an Nvidia GPU of the same performance, why? Are Nvidia suddenly AMD to Intel? Lunatic...

Having said that for the same money as the 4060 its not terrible, if these tech jurnoes had any intelligence they would say it needs to be $200 or less, unfortunately they don't have any intelligence so they keep trying to convince people to buy over priced GPU's, first Nvidia and now also Intel, they are part of the problem.

If you haven't learned by now that these tech jurnoes don't care about the market, who dominates it and its health as a result, all they care about is the money they get from these companies for over hyping their over priced garbage, the sooner we all realise that the better.

The fact that Steve said the 4060 should be 20% cheaper than the B580 just proves they will say anything for money, no matter how deranged.
