I spent a bit over the odds so as to get 10gbe LAN (need PCI-e slots for other stuff), enough USB-C ports for my usage and the PCI-e x16 slot latch (makes life so much easier if you change out the GPU much at all), amongst other features, was hard to find a board which combined all those which was also good value.

i'm ultra boring. of the less than a dozen boards i've had, ever ....i just stick with asus. because it is familiar over time to me.
