Intel Core Ultra 9 285k 'Arrow Lake' Discussion/News ("15th gen") on LGA-1851

AMDlake

apparently.

it's just a cpu.
i played many hours of online games on a geforce 1050. i wasnt fapping over a benchmark score. with a card that literally is 20 X the price. and cpu's that for games are largely irrelevant except for e-peen.

the hype is to churn thru new merch.
You should ask Godzilla if he's ok.

Can you define irrelevant again? If gaming is the main system use the X3D CPUs are the most relevant parts the industry has ever seen. Ryzen X3D parts are the only CPUs to have recourses dedicated to them to produced a gaming focused desktop CPU.

I've ordered the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE for my 265K. For £300 seems to be the best choice apart from the MSI Tomahawk.
Had a look at that one yesterday and it seems the best one at that price, still really on the fence as to whether I fully commit to an Intel swap again but I'm having to jump between 2 PCs at the minute for work/gaming and I'd rather bring that together.

Do you know what the state the Gigabyte boards are currently at? They have a put out a recent bios update a few days ago.

Seems a fairly robust BIOS update so far, I've had a couple of issues on my Z790 Aorus Master but I think that is more me doing things a little unconventionally than a Gigabyte problem.
