This guy seems to have kicked his crack addiction and is making much better content.
Some good info there, same with his X870E Hero overview.
If it's been a few gens since you last built anything, some good info on current motherboard trends.

Hi when are the MSI mobo due for release, wanting the MSI Z890 MPG edge
In the USA the date is October 24th, but I ordered direct from MSI's usa Store and they shipped it early.

have your chauffeur pop the maximus extreme in the boot of the lambo, or one of your two teslas.
should fit.

In the USA the Extreme is $999. no clue why EU is being chaged 1499. It also has three pcie 5.0 ssd slots but after my last Extreme mobo i went MSI this time.

Yip some of these boards are way too expensive, even the msi I want is just under £400

I have a 12700K. I had planned on getting a core ultra 7 when they appeared, but am having reservations.
I'm only slightly following what's going on, leaving final judgement for the first real world tests, but what I am hearing seems very negative. The new cpus are slightly less powerful than the 14th gen, but have better power consumption. All good. But, looking at the numbers, the power consumption for gaming seems a lot higher than my existing CPU, while the performance is as little as a few percent more. Is this right, or am I missing something here? I mean, it's starting to look like I might end up waiting for the 16th gen at this rate.

Surely it can be that bad, I'm currently using a amd setup with my 4090 but have a 265k sitting here ready to install when I get my mobo, looking forward to TB5 on the mobo too
