Just installed my 4790k in my Z87x-UD4H bios was set to defaults before installing and once I got into Windows I checked the vcore with cpuz and it was reporting 1.4v when boosting to 4.4ghz - is this right?

Ok I would put your vcore to say 1.25v manually as 1.4v is far too high to run for any length of time in my opinion, especially at stock.

Are you intending to overclock?

Just finished putting mine together. Was getting similar reports of 1.27v @ stock. Dialled it down to 1.20 @4.1 for now and will refine more tomorrow. Bios update to do too.
On air for a few weeks until I sort a new loop.

Why 4.1? They turbo to 4.4ghz at stock?
