***Intel i7 4790K Owners thread***

878 on stock 4790k at 1.08v, hitting max temp of 60. You know what, I'm sticking with this untill my CPU struggles with something.

869 with a totally stock system, ive forgot to enable XMP on ram so it's sitting at 1333mhz.:o

911 was the highest i managed on my old 4770k, 4.5ghz, 2400mhz ram and 4200mhz cache.

I wouldn't even oc then setter, you nearly beat me

(think how cool it would run at stock):p:D

EDIT: ooh I just did 879 haha

Take it your still gonna hold out till skylake?

Currently at stock on everything, once this mini heatwave passes ill be giving things a good workout. Even had to back off the oc on my old 930 a bit as it overheated and crashed a few nights ago, (4ghz oc). Tbf though, it has been a long time since it got a good clean out. Cooler is badly clogged up.

tbh my 2600k is enough for me

ill just sit tight and see what happens (always best to wait) L4 batch dc a recent example

Tbh, id maybe have been wiser holding onto my old i7 920. Two ib chips, 3 haswells and the various ram kits and boards to go with them later. I could have had a new higher res monitor or a high end gpu or two. Cant seem to resist new cpu's though.:D

You tried clocking the other chip much yet mate? Been unable to do much clocking/benching lately. Way too hot theese days.

Played with it for 5 mins, it's good for 4.9, but like my other chip(s) not for anything more. Tried 8pack's suggestion of the (no idea voltage) and that didn't work :p

Not had the time tbh matey, been doing 60-70hr working weeks for the last god knows how long. Heat doesn't bother me as i've got Aircon, it's time ;)

Hoping to get this weekend to myself, will be having a look at what to keep bench some of my hardware and sell off the stuff i no longer need, make way for a 780ti for the Swift i'm getting :D

everyone like's a good fiddle

but it can drive you nutts sometimes keep messing/installing stuff

tis nice to just sit back and use the damn thing

Swift and a 780ti, youll have to join us for some wednesday night bf4 then.:)

Not seeing an awful lot of lowish volt high clocking DC chips tbh.

Wednesday is such a 'MEH!!!' time!!
This week i'm in Wales, next week i'm in France (last week i was in France)

You guys couldn't of picked a worse bloody time for gaming :D The only guaranteed time i have for gaming is Saturday night and Sunday, depends on what time i'm in to work Monday as to whether i can game late Sunday :(

What i need is an office job, rather than steering wheel attendant :D :p

True, think ill stick with this current base setup for the forseeable future. Got it looking kinda half decent and its running ok. Possible gpu upgrade or go sli and i should be set. But knowing me ill end up turning my attention to the second rig.

Wednesday is the main night, though a few of the guys have started playing on friday evenings too now. The latter doesnt suit me as i always go straight to the pub after work on a friday.

Shot setter afew times last night lol, there are a few of us who play most nights :)

I just ordered an 4790k on the 2day deal to replace my 2500k. A good price if you ask me.

I dunno whether to go phanteks air or maybe a corsair h90i or something. Looking to downgrade size to mATX.
