I wonder if AMD will have any rivals for this chip when Raven Ridge is released. I don't think Summit Ridge will compete since the last I heard the lowest Summit Ridge SKU (R3 1100), which should be the same speed as this chip but with 4 real cores, would still be over £100 and have no IGP.
They've had for a long long time, the old FX63xx/83xx offers similar performance for around £15-20 more or u can get a 2nd hand one for like £60 now. Should be discounted further once the R3s hit the market.
The R3 could be around same or bit faster performance wise and although around £40-50 more expensive for the CPU, will offer better platform and upgrade path. It should also overclock which could push the lead a bit further.
Nevertheless it looks like a good buy for a budget gaming machine if you're not planning to be upgrading it or doing anything else. Reminds me of the E2160 which was a cracking chip.
