What exactly is so special about this G0 stepping everyone seems to be going on about? All ive read is it runs a bit cooler and thats it.

Basically the 45nm tech on 65nm.

I think you'll find that within 10-15 days of launch all these prices will drop again. My (usually) reliable source tells me G0 Q6600 for £160 Incl. VAT in August.

And I'd be very surprised in the E6600 doesn't fall in price. Especially with the £/$ conversion at the moment.
