Intel to launch 6 core Coffee Lake-S CPUs & Z370 chipset 5 October 2017

But you were aware of it's likely short comings before you brought it and even championed it on multiple occasions....

Nope, as I got it on release.
I was under the impression that these issues could and will be fixed, I now know better.

ASUS have release multiple bios "fixes" and people are still having issues with 3200mhz ram.
Despite being completely stable, mine will boot on the 3/4 attempt when i get from work.
From then on, it will reboot perfectly normal.

What? I'm not even complaining about that, all I said is that boot loops with Ryzen are normal when you try to go for 3200 and some of the AMD aficionados on here jumped.
You've been on a bit of a windup mate so it naturally gets quite tetchy.

But like you said you did pay money for it so you can complain it just seems a bit strange.

Hardware wise, yes.
The rest is architectural. And I'm done with waiting for fine wine now.

Ryzen is on average 10% slower than a £350 7700K in games, this is the £180 Ryzen 1600. thats impressive, very impressive. even more impressive is that it smashes the 7700K in MT tasks.

what did you exact when you bought the 1700? did you expect it to beat the £500 i7 6850? oh wait it does that... what did you expect? Really because what you have there is an incredible powerfull fast CPU full stop, even more incredible is its low price, what did you expect of it?

10% on average based on who's tests?
Hardware unboxed?
I can show you another that shows its nowhere near.

Lets just brush the cold boot bug under the carpet eh? Those comments about me pushing it too far were bs.

So you expecting Kaby Lake levels of IMC and IPC? And hoping for the best with the rest even though you knew it was a brand new architecture rather than the 7th Gen Intel was on.

And Tech Spot and i think TPU. across 30 games. in the case of the first two, about 20 for TPU, Digital foundry found similar results, i think one of the main German reviewers also.... i mean, are they all fake?

I expect to be able to boot up first time every time when I have a perfectly stable overclock in place, yes.
As i said, I bought into the wait for optimisations (tm) hype.
They've had like what, 3 games patched now?

Again, do you recognise there is a cold boot bug now?

No i don't.

And this is what i said.

Pro tip. Wait at least a few months for the bugs to be worked out before considering buying enthusiast hardware.

So i ask again...

But you brought it on release day knowing it likely wouldn't compete with the fastest Intel chips but it could be improved. It has been improved just not enough to be on par with the 7700k at all times in games.

You brought the wrong cpu mate and have now become bitter about it.

Ryzen is far from perfect, we know that without having to buy one. We also know that many are happy with what they got. Perhaps they don't need the highest absolute performance in games or something.

Think it was pretty obvious Ryzen wasn't going to get much attention in terms of getting games specifically patched.
