Intel to possibly announce even more impressive chip than 7980XE at Computex

So basically they are now lying about it and saying it was an omission.
Ohh come on, if you watch the demo its heavy on the clock speed and performance of the chip... its very very obvious this was done to piddle on AMDs parade.
And of course the tech press being utterly useless believed it on the day, and even now there are still people and articles out there thinking intel really are going to release a 5ghz 28 core processor before the end of the year.

help ma bob.

TBH any tech guy worth his weight in / should have noticed the insulation on the block and pipework and realised Intel was sub using ambient cooling.

From the article.

the hideous amount of juice required to power the demo system prevented our contacts from showing us the performance demo privately: The area we were in simply didn't have enough dedicated circuits for the task.

So It may melt the cables in your walls.... lol

Intel right now:

oh-jeez-were-so-sorry.jpg

Intel is beyond confused, look at the pic behind the CPU, 28 Cores and a kid with a headset on.. what kid is buying a 28 core cpu right now? I think AMD has bent them over so hard the blood has rushed to their head and they arent even sure what year it is now.

That's the issue. Most tech sites are just headline regurgitation with nothing of use these days. Glorified advertising platforms.

Intel are defiantly in panic mode, the thing is while them running around like headless chickens doing daft things to try and take the attention away from what AMD are doing is funny Intel have proven themselves to be ruthlessly unethical willing to use the most illegal tools to suppress a competitive AMD.

AMD have been very competitive before, a threatened Intel can quickly turn into no laughing matter, they are dodgy ######!

Well Intel is a very different company today than it was a while back but, it seems the firm is making the mistake of allowing the marketing men are overruling the engineers again. The problem is marketing means very little in a technology driven industry. You can only BS so many people in this industry before the game is up.

Don't be so sure, Intel are insanely protective over their monopoly and when you have spent 40 years being an #### #### to protect it its a very difficult habit to shake.

Intel is either incredibly arrogant and believe that all their customers are a bunch of fools, or they have an incredibly incompetent PR department.

Had they been upfront about and spun this about how they are the platform of choice for overclockers (or something along those lines), this would have gone so much better for them. Because to be fair; it is an impressive demo.

The elephant in the room is Intel's security flaws.
